Tomorrow I think we should discuss the hunchback iic, but right now I wonder....

Will this also be a alternate to the arctic cheetah? As in, if you hate arcitc cheetah you'd take the jenner instead?

Cheetah has pretty kickass quirks.


This won't have any, along with a giant CT. I'm favouring the Cheetah at the moment, before the inevitable nerf. Jenner has a hard time making use of cXLs (but still makes good use of Clam SRMs and lasers).

I have Jenners coming, though at the moment I've been strong enough not to buy anything but Jenners. Only other chassis in the bunch I'm really interested in is the Highlander - the Hunch is meh and the Orion is actively offensive, but mein Gott that dual-cUAC/10 Highlander is tempting...

Anyways.

Is anyone else at all intending to keep the 315cXLs in these things? I've seen a lot of plans to downgrade to 300s, 280s, even a couple of 250s...but this guy right here is hell-bent on keeping every ounce of that magnificently ridiculous top speed, and hang the fact that I can't aim for spit at much of anything above 120. It just seems...sacreligious, somehow, to take a machine that can equip 7 (or 10!!!) jump jets and kick it up to nearly 150 klicks bone-stock, with no efficiencies, and turn it into a jetless chugger.

JIIC-2 with all ten jets, 315cXL, and four cERML. Scrap the launcher entirely and use the weight to plug up the thing's armor. Not as effective, perhaps, as the hex-cSPL EA backstabbist with a 300cXL and no jets, but by Grabthar's Hammer I will fly that JIIC properly or I will not fly it at all. 'Fly' being very much the operative word. The Cheetah's grand and I'm enjoying it immensely, but these JIICs are speaking to me in a way light 'Mechs never really have. Here's hoping they live up to their hype.

I'm tempted to set one of those up just to see if it can really jump 104 meters.

If the jump jets in MWO were as powerful as they are in tabletop, it would be able to jump 360 meters.

I'd take off a few just to upgrade to a large laser instead of two mediums. Then just jump around like crazy with hit and run tactics.

We haven't gotten really fast clan lights (save for the cheetah, whom I love for it's streak 2s (two) and 4 smalls along with ecm) and I wanna make those inner sphere purists cry their eyes out on it. (Course as of now says I'm a marik but that's one faction me and my fellow unitmates like to shift over to once in a while from csj) but yeah I'll have to strip it and reequip weapons and add armor to it that suits me. ( 6 srm 2 mwhahahaa )

I can already smell the tears coming....
