Well, this girl definitely impressed me. I got tired of waiting for the Epic BJ to go on C-Bills so I then bought a BLR-1G. This is the first match with it.

Just now realized how easy you guys had it, piloting high-mounted laser vomit mechs such as the Battlemaster and the Banshee.

Shh, don't tell anyone...I tell people those are just laser pointers and rave lights in my shoulders and....well...nipples? Yeah, Banshees have nipples....deal.

Poor...poor...poor Atlas! The dirt is strong!

From the hits i take from those mechs the BLR and the Banshee are excellent mechs for vomitting as they're designed to do so. No hate on that. They can dish out some good damage and the high mounts are a pain in the arse when you face 'em.

I was also surprised at the effectiveness of the arm shield. Can't wait to Elite this girl. :D

As far as I know, everyone I play with has been experiencing those mini lag spikes all weekend, and most of the week. Since the last patch, actually. They seem to come and go, some matches almost none, some major, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with server load.

Same reason every thumbnail character in my videos have mustaches, like the Wolverine below. It is my trademark.
I call mechs "she", just like Battleships or Cannons. Respect the tradition.

Those are not mini-lags cause I did not experience anything like it in that match. Those are small breaks between my Nvidia Shadowplay recordings. I recorded a new clip after each kills.

Agree, had a match on bog, with no lags for myself yesterday, then I dueled in dragon with a hunchback. nice smooth gameplay, and sudenly the hunch stops moving, and shooting for 3-4 seconds. i killed him, then the player came back to reality. he described it as beeing oneshoted, which wasnt true. I fire at him 4-5 seconds constantly, but he saw, one shot - boom ,dead.

I've always wanted to try battlemasters, similar advantages that the banshee gets, but then I reflect on how many times I've killed a BM and it always seemed too easily killed for an Assault.

I actually don't want to flame you, maybe I'm just a bad noob not grasping the situation, but all I see is a guy standing in the middle of combat, hardly ever moving, more less ignorantly relying on his quirked up armor and team mates soaking and dealing damage while happily reaping kill steals (maybe headshots?) on damaged mechs, shooting wrecks, spreading his damage intentionally with every shot, getting stuck repeatedly.

That's my classic notion of a "lucky first timer" shouting "wow, this game is easy!" or "wow, this mech is awesome!" afterwards.

If I play like that in my Wubhawk and am not extremely lucky, I'm dead in a matter of seconds.

You can have single games like that with every Mech. Even Kit Fox, Adder, etc. that are generally called omg so bad (which is wrong).
It would be impressive if 50% of your games were like that.
A single video can be considered just extremely lucky. Especially with a performance as described above.

Also crazy music. Sounds like a girl's joy ride over the green on her new pink bike.

I find that fist impressions are not always right. I have had some awesome games in Mechs I thought were a PoS but when i was forced to use them (so new players could have the good mechs) I found new ways to fight using crap mechs which turned out to be a blast for me... and others cause they got to laugh at my bad jokes and the grumbles of the enemy getting Powned.

The Battlemaster has a niche, but it's not exactly optimal under many circumstances.

It's a good CW mech (well a few maps), but for regular non-CW matches, it's rather meddling.

It's actually the only Phoenix Pack mech I have yet to grind out.

Except on the second match, things still look great. :D Nyahahaha. I'm having a good feeling about this ride.

Only fault I found so far is the lack of arm hardpoints. The torso cannot shoot downwards well and if an enemy is below you then you cannot return fire.

Usually the "solution" to that is going with Streaks, as that is the only option at hand. It's not optimal, but for mechs that suffer from this.. there isn't really a good option outside of making sure your targets don't facehug you directly from your armpits.

There are plenty of tall mechs that aren't as capable when things hug them (Atlases are at the top of that list), so it's all related to positioning.
