In all seriousness:
Seems like I end up having to guess and shoot at an empty red box more often than I get to see a mech to hit, some matches, as of maybe two months ago. Anyone know of a good fix for the vanishing/flickering/totally NOT THERE TWO SECONDS ago mech problem? I'm running on high details at ~70 fps, other than particles and shadows, so I don't think (but can't rule out) that it is detail-slider related.
If it helps, I'm running

Run the repair tool? Clear the shader cache?

Thanks for the suggestion, Trev, though I'd already tried those.
EDIT:
What does seem to be helping, surprisingly, is swapping back to DX9. I hadn't considered it as I moved to DX11 back in January, but it seems to avoid the problem.
Just leaving this here in case someone else has the same problem in the future.

Check your internet connection, and your ping. Those can be factors of what's going on.

Have you tried scaling your graphics from low settings to high to see if you have the same problem?
might be something to try.

DirectX-9 seems to be the most stable atm as well as being the best for performance.
DX-11 while supported, doesn't really offer anything in additional eyecandy right now and seems to give people the most issues.

I got better framerates under dx11 - 52 vs 60 in the mechlab, and around 10-15 higher in game (which mattered when I was on dual 670s) . But I'll take visible opponents over higher framerate any day.
