Pgi, Please Sell Me Something Other Than Mech Packs

The unique geo on the phoenix packs was cool for a micro-transaction. Battlemaster shoulders, cicada bike racks, rounded stuff on clan mechs, etc. If some of it doesn't work with the camos, ok then.
Somebody else's idea was to add in things like radar dishes and antennae. Things like that don't need to be incorporated into the camo pattern. Do not make them $5! $2 for account-wide unlock. Warframe does it right.

I love Betty but every once in a while I'm in the mood for GlaDOS.
I would
Aim at an ECM mech and press R
GLaDOS: ahah fat chance.
Lose an arm
GLaDOS: Time out for a second. That wasn't supposed to happen. Do you see that thing that fell out of me? What is that?
Dies
GLaDOS: You are dead but im still alive.
Lose the match
GLaDOS: Cake, and grief counselling, will be available at the conclusion of the test.

I'd be more interested in a Single-player mode, or story driven missions for coop. Not sure how much I'd be willing to pay, and you dont want split community, but I agree mech packs are a stale-growing business model.

There is a GLaDOS converter out there and I have the opening sequence.... Not in-game, just for fun, and it's not perfect.. BUT it's a start. I'd be willing to email it to you.....

Or how about one of those bomber pin-ups as a decal on the side of a mech?
Limited edition shells that explode into graffiti when it hits.
I don't know, PGI is pretty small minded with how they go about making money.

I would feel a bit trolled, but at least my old mechs would be returned to their former glory.
And the girl paints in the side of the mech, WW2 bomber style are a need.

Maybe they'll do a partnership thingy a number of games on steam do and put in portal and/or TF2 stuff. Though at this point, I don't care about non canon stuff, just any stuff to make the game enjoyable outside pug que. Really wouldn't mind putting cash for a campaign, either limited# of missions, an infinite mission creator, a main editor for people to build missions, just something so I can invite non BT friends and family that doesn't involve jumping in the deep end. Details can be hammered out, CW can be the main grab, co op can be little to no rewards (low enough to make cw more profitable if you must, though throwing a bone every now and then wouldn't hurt) if just like something, even if it's stock only, just so I can show people something to explain why I like this IP that isn't 10 years+ old. I want more of a reason to get on this game then to grind money for another DHS transfusion to make a mech combat capable.

I made a thread (link in my SIG.) with a few different ideas in it, such as custom geometry, custom hangers and a few others that have been mentioned here. Surprisingly, custom geometry is the only thing with more no votes.

it would also help to "feel" the tonnage, if you stand before left finger of an atlas, look up, and see the HUUUUUGEEE monster , like a skyscraper...

LOL I dont care is its a bodiless floating head players get to roam around the mechbay with and alpha grahpics, this wouldnt be to hard to do. They should get on it sheesh. They can put the mechs on a loading line a ways away to cut down on the texture load even.
Let one of the modders from Nexus mods on it and it will be in game by morning... with basic pilots quarters and ui for what little none mech content is in game.
I will with great effort stop myself there.

It does not even have to be very elaborate. I do not expect a lot of cinematics or voice-acting. I just want a reasonably well-told story and fun, challenging missions.
PGI could release episodic campaign packs of perhaps 8-10 missions each, built around a specific storyline or conflict. Depending on the scale and quality of the campaigns, I could see myself spending between 5 to 15 dollars an episode.

The episode base story lines was my idea first! No kidding now lots of game are doing that, its great. Maybe they didnt steal my idea because it was a natural progression for some kinds of games. I prefer the module system for a game like Mechwarrior Online though, although an episode based story line could work and not break immersion if they actually disable episodes once done.... Yes maybe a waste of content and new players would miss out on previous episodes but thats the price for a persistent online game in my opinion. Get on you tube or an in game video feed on Mechwarrior Online in game content if an epidsode was missed. Its not all bad because they could have a load section of the game used specifically for that....
Have both systems would be great.

It's been told a thousand times on these forums. It's the pareto (or we could say whale) principle in business; you make 80% of your revenue from about 20% of your customers, dropping price wouldn't change much here.. I wouldn't buy any more or any less if the prices change.. If I want it, I'll just get it, but if I think it's crap, I won't get it. Had doubts about the Highlander IIC pack, so just got the Hunch pack, because I don't think I will ever want to pilot the heavies. But if I would, I would still get them, 20$ or 30$ per tier don't make any difference for the 20% of those customers here. At this point, you don't ask yourself anymore how expensive a color or cockpit item is. It's "good investment" anyway.
More customisation would be nice, but I don't think we'll be getting much of it, except for the decals with 500-1000 mc price slapped on them on which they are probably still deciding on. Honestly tough, would it make a difference to get a decal for my faction at 250, 500, or 1000 price? Or 500 for regular and 1000 for shinier premium decal? There is no doubt that you get the one you want, anyway, no matter the price, and this is how money is made.
