How many people would like to see a module that slightly increases heat efficiency?

The heat system needs to be a bit more harsher, not easier.

i would like to see a laser beam duration module. My locusts have 3 weapon module slots for some reason, most only have 1 type of weapon mounted and there are only 2 diff modules for any weapon (range and cooldown). It would be nice to have a 3rd type of module for the different weapons so I could use that 3rd weapon module slot.

Nope. Instead, the heat dissipation and threshold efficiencies need to be removed. Adding in another module on top of those would be ridiculous- it would very, very quickly become mandatory equipment for every single build except dual Gauss.
Plus, letting people run even hotter builds just further reduces TTK and widens the gap between new players and established folks with fully optimized and skilled-up configs by introducing a near-mandatory piece of hardware that they can't even use until they've been playing long enough to grind out the GXP and cbills for it on top of their first three 'Mechs. That would not be conducive to increasing the playerbase; MWO is hostile enough towards fresh meat.

Just call it the "Lower TTK module".

Uh yeah. Nice to think about, but it would be too much.

How about no modules at all except for mech modules, that sounds a lot better.

I wanna see an Awesome be able to fire on a 3/2 cyclic without shutting down. Like it is meant to do. I want to see 30 sinks keep me firing without ever getting warm generating 25 heat per salvo. Very few players I knew of on TT liked the original Solaris heat rules.

Then you want 10 second cooldowns across the board on every weapon system, and DHS increased to full 0.2/s dissipation.
Shame about what that would do to lighter ACs though, imagine how bad an AC5 would be if it only fired once every 10 seconds, at the same rate as an AC20. LOL..

It would limit modules for mechs. The self-imposed requirement would be for everyone to have one, thus reducing module slots by one (two if you count Radar Derp which sort of fits in that category.)

For one thing, no. We do not need a module that reduces heat. Players just need to play with more than 1 fire group, learn heat management and make more reasonably sustainable fire builds.
On top of all that, that module would benefit almost every build. It would basically be a 3,000,000 C-bill tax. People already complain that DHS is a C-Bill tax to play, why raise that to 4,500,000. Now that also **** in making the economy even more restrictive.
Granted, you could technically get by with one 3,000,000 C-Bill heat module (and switch it to each mech you play which is a pain), but only in solo or group queue. You want to play CW, time to invest 12,000,000 in heat dissipation modules....ugh, makes my wallet hurt thinking about it.
Basically, just...no.

Heat Reduction module = too good, shouldn't exist as it would be compulsary for every mech that is not a light AC/Gauss boat.
OTOH, they should add lots more modules, like PPC/AC/LRM/SRM velocity, laser duration, UAC jam chance, SRM/LRM/LBX spread, those type of things, to give us more choices to make with our limited weapon module slots.

More like 3.5 seconds to vent heat, Yes as is AC2 would be hurt, but I did read someone's post suggesting the AC2 have its heat broken up among the shells being fired So for instance if it fires 5 rounds in 10 seconds each one generates 0.4 heat.
