....... how the [redacted] can i remove these ridiculous explosions/fireballs wich appears on my whole [redacted] screen everytime i get hit by an Autocannon?!

I can't see [redacted]

Aiming with Gauss/PCC = impossible while the [redacted] i'm fighting against just stands there and keeps shooting on me... and i can do nothing..

Best method is to avoid being shot by ACs.



Also, it doesn't affect your crosshair. Just shoot where they are, and they'll die.

Yes, cockpit shake it annoying. But that's been a part of the game for quite some time. I'm guessing you're getting smacked with UAC5s IS-side, as the clan batterment isn't as bad as it used to be. But if you're panicking and firing wildly - or worse yet, retreating and trying to show your good side - you're going to keep getting hit.

Strike back. Put an alpha into that red dorito. He'll back down.

Turn away from them...or dont let them hit you in the first place....? :P

Everyone has to deal with it....just shot through it. When you are getting dakka in your face the best remedy is to hit them back. Makes then twist or take cover and stop shooting you.


Butt hurt will get you no where sir.

unfortunately he got me in front of a small CAR wich made it impossible to me in my assault to make a step back and get into cover.. lol ;)

Also he was just standing the keeping my cockpit under fire while i couldn't see anything (also "night" map).. Trying to torso twist and and bringing my crosshair back to the suckers mech to be able to shoot back also doesn't work caus i dont really ******* know where he's standing after the twist.... if he had IS UAC's would be nice because it have had the option to jam.. but no, simple AC 5s.. three of em.. making me blind the whole fight while i can't move back.. thanks to the car again.

anyway thanks for the answers, i thought there's some kind of graphic options i could set to minimum to avoid "a bit" of those explosions.

You can drop your post settings a bit and maybe remove some glare, but the feedback from weaponsfire is a design decision in this game. You're a tiny ball of meat in a big metal cockpit. Getting slammed by a 80mm shell is going to rattle your brain.

You could try turning your particle effects all the way down. It might help a bit *shrug*.

They need to crank down the flare from MGs, too. An Arrow or Pirate's Bane is practically unusable while firing the MGs.

Yeah. You're not wrong. But I love that about the PB. Makes me feel like I'm in a WW2 fighter.

I know setting particle effects down does help with muzzle flash.

With the over prevalence of ECM, many times there is no dorito to shoot...

At close range, there's always a dorito. And if you're at long range, well... dunno what to tell you. Move.

While we're on the topic of screen shake, does anyone have experience with the module for upgrading your mech's gyros? Is the screen shake drop significant enough that a brawler would want to take it?
