I didn't do this, but thought it should be shared. See the original on outreach.

It's faster than pulling real-time data from the servers every time you want to select a mech I guess. :D

Nice! I can put relevant, painted mech images here instead of stock green. Remember to save the originals if you want to go back.

ooohhh someone needs to setup some templates for little icons you can overlay on your camo portrait that will show engine std/xl and size, modules equipped, cockpit items, # heatsinks, etc. ALL THE THINGS (that we should already have lol)!!! PITA to keep up to date probably if you change loadouts a lot, but it could be glorious

I see someone figured it out was completely bored.

I totally approve.

Does it still update if you make a loadout change?

Yes, unfortunately.

But it doesn't change when you alter nothing!

Just read the instructions that are out there, and if you make the file read only... it persists.

Sweet info! I figured this was how it would work, even if it means non persistence between the two computers I use.

*15 minutes later*

Okay, now I have a synchronization setup from that folder to a folder in Dropbox - and a matching sync on my work PC. Now my portraits will sync between my computers. :) (Using SyncBack if anyone is curious)
