While you are waiting for Battletech, here is another turn-based tactical game that is currently in Alpha and on Steam early access:

http://mordheim-city...edamned.com/en/

I played a game against a buddy of mine last night and it was pretty fun and is very true to the original miniatures game, even though it is in Alpha and still pretty rough in some areas.

Yeah, I really want a Witchhunter warband. It is still worth playing though, Skaven are fun.

Ah, my best buddy loves Dwarves and I love Elves, we have had some amazing battles. Best was in the old Bloodbowl game when my elf QB jumped over his slow ass dwarf and got the winning touchdown!

I'm waiting impatiently for it to be released. Been looking forward to it since literally day 1 of it's announcement.

yeah my gf has woodelves ^^ best setup for a lot of fun when you have factions hating each other.

also, BB? Surely elves play for touchdowns, while dwarves only play to kill some elves. Touchdown time is when all alves are bashed out of the field. Unfortunatelyt the BB PC game is full of whiny babies and do refuse to play online vs dwarfs/orcs chaos and other teams that are supposed to damage and kill other players. I mean its Bloodbowl not Pussybowl. -.-

Still going to get BB2 when it will be released.

Usually the moment we shoudl have a good bugamns, but then the 8th edition kinda killed my entire dwarven TT motivation.

The new runes, the killing of engineers and making masterengineers even less good in comparison to the runesmiths. All thatl totally drove away my motivation to play my army anymore. The real cool fluff and nice combos kinda went away making everything more broing. Mostlikely the reason why I bought a gold mech since suddenly there was a ton of budget from warhammer left that is not going into new troops. So the 8th edition only saw money for the limited edition rulebook.

Turn-based tactical game? I'm waiting for the X-Com 2 release in November. Watching the trailer on YT made me play X-Com: Enemy Within again :D Hmm, I might try out the Long War mod.

Definitely check Mordheim out though, maybe when it is a bit closer to being finished, unless you are dead set on the Scifi thing.

LOL, I was talking about the old DOS version of BB, where players died left and right.

It came out in the late 90s, I forget what company made it, I am sure Google knows.
