Is there something I'm missing here? I can't see to change my profile picture from the forums and in game I'm starkly FRR. What's up with it not showing here?

There is no option to change profile pictures. You can only change yout badge and title, and add signatures.

For your FRR Dragon to appear, you need to go to the Factions screen in-game and choose a contract with the Republic.

For starters, its probably better to pick a timed contract over a permanent Loyalty, unless you have decided too stay with only one Faction.

Each faction provides stuff as you advance in "ranks", such as mechbays. This is why most people advise temporary contracts.

It's 2017 and there is no simple way to add in a profile picture, nuts! There has to be a way to do this isn't there? Look, not even my photo signature works, LOL.

ROFL, you can not link a picture directly from your computer, where it appears your image is on your D drive, it needs to be uploaded to a website, imgur or such..

How long have you been connected to the net?

they way this forum works is you do not upload the image to the forums, you tell the forum where the image is then other computers look in that location. another persions computer does not know that D:\ is on your computer, if I tried to use that link it would point to my computers DVD drive.

You need to give the forums better instructins on where to find it, if your computer is on you should be able to setup a rule on your firewall to set all trafic coming to your internet IP address on a certain port to redirect to see that picture, then you can put in the ip address and port and the forums should be able to find that image, however as your computer will not always be on and you are likely to have a dynamic IP which can change as Tesunie said the easiest solution is to upload the image to a web site and link to it, I usualy use my page on my units website ^{(after trying Dropbox and Onedrive and being unable to make them work properly)} for that but any service which allows you to upload images then link back to them should work.
