As much as the Developers of MWO have miss-stepped, annoyed, and angered many of us over time, it all needs to be put into perspective.

It could have been worse, It could have been the Developers of Survivor: Infestation Stories (formerly War Z), and now;

BURSTFIRE

Watch the trailer.....horrible graphics, the appearance of being totally thrown together to cash in as quickly as possible.

And the final nail in the coffin, the people developing it are;

Nacho Games (with some former Hawken Devs)

Free Reign Entertainment (Sergei Titov of S:IS)

Now, the Hawken Devs don't worry me too much as from what I've read their hands were tied and their situation was similar to the ball and chain affair that PGI had with IGP .

However, the fact that Free Reign Entertainment is basically Sergei Titov....now that's scary.

No, I haven't played it, and I won't play it and i won't "review" it either. I'm scared away simply from the people behind the scenes.

So, what I'm trying to say is that Paul and Russ, to date, haven't earned that kind of enmity, and that is at least a good thing. So....thanks guys, it could be much worse.

Actually that game looks like quite a bit of fun. It's not perfect, but the graphics are decent if a little cheesy, and the options seem nice. Also, it's in early access, so it's not like it's guarenteed to be like it is forever. Might end up getting worse, might get way better. It's really hard to say.

Never played it, but I think you're judging a little harshly after watching that video.

I am sorry, but did they just rip off Rainbow Six: Siege?

Just to clarify....I'm judging the Producers, not the Developers. With their track record you would have to be crazy to assume that Nacho Games is going to have a free hand with this game. Sergei and gang will milk it for all it's worth at a half finished stage and then toss these guys into the trash along with the game. Sergei's idea of "Early Access" is simply..."make money then move onto the next half-baked idea".

Check out the credits at the bottom of the game, Nacho Games says who they are, Free Reign Entertainment doesn't.....I'm pretty sure that's not a coincidence.

Being grateful that your game isn't as bad as another game, is scant praise.

To be grateful you have to do something better than or more sincerely than someone else did it before you see any gratitude.

So far, PGI hasn't done MW better than anyone else, nor have they be terribly sincere in their efforts.

I am only grateful that they have done SOMETHING rather than nothing. Most of us simply wish that the SOMETHING they were doing was more closely adhering to the 30 years of TT rules they should be pulling from to make their design choices.

It's ALL right there, they simply need to do the math to apply it to real time.

********. This game has better balance and gameplay than all MW titles before.

Ridiculous.

I thought that certain top PGI people were once associated with Jarhead Games, which basically pushed out $5 shovelware games to generic stores?

Yes, and Youtube never forgets.

I think the OP needs to do a little research on the top level guys first before making another post.

One thing to be grateful for...

... Battletech is being done by a group that did a very good job with Shadowrun, so we should have an excellent BT title coming in the future.

I don't know how shadowrun is now but when it hit after the kickstarter a friend of mine who was a backer told me it was crap, it had no good or deep/long story. It was nothing more than a tool to create your own story. Maybe the game has been updated with a good story now or the fan created good mods for it.

I know about PGIs past, and I'm simply giving ( as someone above mentioned) "scant praise", because things could have been worse. It's as close as i can come to complimenting PGI.
