I'm going IS, they are the underdogs of the story, especially FRR.

Traitor. If you want to help the clans go join a Warden clan or a merc company like Wolf's Dragoons or Kell Hounds.

You dare to call me the traitor?
Know your place, low-blood.I still remember the vision of the honourable Kerenskys. Not that rubbish spoon-fed to the Clans by Nicholas the Traitor. May his soul rot in the warp.

IS for better AND worse. We have persisted, through everything, while the clan ran away to make test tube babies. IS is far and away from perfect, but at least they didn't give up. Looking forward to the clanners showing up, so this free-birth can show them what honor is really about.

IS. But I have absolutely no issue with slagging your mechs and carting the smoking remains to salvage, reverse-engineer, and ultimately augment my own mech(s). I think you guys are closed-minded, out-of-touch sociopaths who believe in a reality that doesn't exist, but you guys make some good tech, and I'd rather rip it off your mechs and put it on mine than have it given to me for having the blind luck of being born in a test tube.

Besides, I'll be the talk of Tharkad when my fellow Lyrans see my ClanTech bling on my Atlas.

Clan Snow Raven here, the real ilClan, since we control all interplanetary travel (sure other Clans have naval assets, but got the most ships, the naval phenotype instead of people who can't pilot a Mech running our ships, and might not be above jumping in a pirate point with a dozen ships, blasting your ship to pieces and jumping out in under a few minutes).

The clans have better tech and mechs and they will probably destroy the IS but I would rather be a freeborn than a mutated guy.

Honestly, both sides are full of chauvinistic power &/or glory hungry ******. I'm not in favor of either one, as a whole. More specifically I'm in favor of both. I'd go with the FRR in the IS or Clan Wolf otherwise (as you can see). Clans have the superior tech & seem to embrace scientific progress the most, so that's I go. Wolf was a Warden, they seem to care about the big picture & the original purpose & they also seem to care about people, instead of just people in their group.

The FRR is the only thing in the IS resembling a democracy so the rest can **** off.

Actually, the FWL is a parliamentry democracy. The problem with it is that it occupies so much space and allows so many freedoms that it rapidly becomes paralyzed when the captain general isn't afforded more serious influence.
