You have mastered the "taking things out of context and adding a liberal dosing of hyperbole" skill. -50 DKP

Seeing how as in context you said you can't tell if they are good, yet also said they are over powered, what I said made MORE sense than your blathering.

All mechs that have that sweetshop are bad for competitive play, I personally find Hunchback to be overly vulnerable to that. Also I know about Seismic, been using it 2 years now. Why eveyrone assumes that whoever doesnt have 1500+ posts in the forums is a noob... I never said lights sneaking up on u are a "problem". Thats the thing, they dont even need to sneak up, just take a decent aim, 2 rotation of their small lasers in the front then ur busted. In the same time you can't do anything about them.

To be fair, I do get a bit f*cked off that the GI has a ridiculous ST and an exploding gauss.

Same goes for the Cataphract Ilya and it's arms with double gauss or the other builds with the STs.

I totally disagree with you saying the GI and 4P are useless! There will always be those matches where it all goes wrong (I pug drop all the time and tears roll a lot lol) but most of the time if piloted correctly the GI is a beast of a Mech (have you seen the quirks!?!?!?! and stick a cooldown mod in too !?!?!?!?!) and rarely am I not in the top 5 out of both teams in both DMG and Score (unless its one those matches where your team doesn't know its ass from its elbow). Yes you WILL lose your right torso but how fast is down to positioning when engaging and/or not twisting enough. The 4P was the second Mech I bought when starting out (right after a stalker, the commando I bought with the cadet bonus don't count because I didn't have a clue at the time lol), I don't drop in that much now but when I do I wreak my opponents but again its all down to correct positioning and piloting.

I'm in no way saying your a bad pilot just maybe the HBK's don't suit your play style now. Things have changed a lot and I myself have had to change how I pilot the HBK but it still works for me.

I also see a lot of complaint about exploding Gauss, put in a case and take a backup weapon. Yes your DPS takes a huge hit but your still in the fight.

Spiders come stock with smaller weapons and/or fewer weapons than the Arctic Chinchilla on most variants, so no hardpoint system in the world could help the Spidey.

Sized hardpoints don't have to be built according to stock builds, imho. Just, I'd like it to be such that the more hardpoints a 'Mech has, the less likely it can mount anything but arrays of the smallest weapons - and conversely, the less hardpoints it has, the more likely it can mount something larger.

i.e. Summoner's arms vs. other clan mech's arms.

So many of the so-called 'low-tier' 'Mechs right now are stuck because they have a low number of hardpoints. They would be more relevant if hardpoints had size restrictions too - otherwise there is just no fixing them, not without something like these Power Ranger Super Quirks or other such nonsense.

Let's be frank, the "stock" builds from tabletop Battletech are 90% garbage....
