I just installed Win10 on my machine.

MWO refused to run in 64bit mode... I installed the VCredistx64 manually, but it told me that I already had that installed.

System:
i7 4770K
GTX970
Win 10 Professional 64bit
32GB RAM
Latest drivers.

Working fine for me.

What happens when you try to run in x64? "refused to run" isn't really helpful

Need to have the 32-bit one as well, I think.

This with the DX9 old stuff too.

Well I have the same setup as yours, minus 16GB ram, and the 64bit client works just fine.
You sure you have Win10 64bit?

Does it not open? Does it open but give you 10-20 FPS in the mechlab?

If it's the latter, do you also have an integrated graphics card alongside the nvidia?

mines loaded in 64bit ok

only issue I have had with it, is that mwo won't load or work if I use TS3's overlay.

So now I have to guess whom I'm talking to

Just ask if they are wearing pants or not, easy peasy!

In all seriousness, OP, I had similar issue.

Dx9 web installer and C++ 2010 redistribute is what you need to get.

Right click on them, use context menu, install them both as Admin.

Once I did that, I was able to use 64b client. Cannot remember if I had to choose Dx9 in settings for 64b client, restart, then pick dx11.

Dude you need to give more info of why it didn't run like what error popped up maybe show a crash report hell even search the forums to see if there was a solution already. I know that TWIAFU and me have been telling people for days about how to fix most issues we had due to the lack of installing or having old support files installed.

You may not be running in 64bit and need to update your chipset drivers.

Hmm...Windows 10 has been working great for me so far with MWO, 64bit client runs good, with about a 10-15 fps boost.

It does not start. The patcher goes black when I click launch and nothing happens.

Yes very sure its 64bit.

Did you upgrade or fresh install Windows 10?

If upgraded uninstall MWO and reinstall it

I've never been able to get the TS3 overlay to work in MWO. Or, for that matter, Win10's new overlay either :(

I didn't have to install or update anything when I upgraded to windows 10...64 bit client of MWO, everything was seamless for me.

I think you just need to make sure you have all the C++ redistributable packages and Dx dll files, all that hocus pocus.

Very similar set up to you. Differences being the K, less RAM and my version of Windows 10 is home. I haven't had any issues at all.

I would try the repair tool before a reinstall.

easiest way is to right click on "This PC" and click on properties ;)
under System Type

just run the repair tool, sometimes there are mismatches in game files
