I almost fed up my guide thread because some weird delay by saving and editting. Luckily i had a backup. But please, this is getting to bug me.

Slow liking posts, sometimes timed out.

It's not on my end. That's positive for sure.

It happens occasionally.

I do believe they have their forum on one of the same servers as the game itself, judging by the fact we can't seem to ever log in when the game is down. It's an extremely silly concept, but...yeah.

So my guess is that the same server load that causes us so much lag lately in game causes the slowness of the site.

I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but there's a chance I'm not...sadly.

No, not really. Also, I thought NKVA are still pretty active. At least in game they are, and so far, haven't heard anything bad (in the last 2 weeks) form the few I've met.

Assuming the lags ingame start appearing sametime as on forum did, well... then they have some malware on servers ?

Much like NS and well most of the MWO community they have lightened up on CW drops. IE it is a few days a week at best vs. 6 days a week. You can always find them on Wed US evenings.

I very much doubt that's the case.

The reason that you can't log in when the game servers are down will be because when they patch the frontend game servers, they also have to make changes to the database server that handles user accounts (logins for both game and website, what you've bought, mech configs etc); when that database server isn't accessible, the forums, the webstore, the match stats etc won't work -- which is why you can't log in during patches.

That's not to say that the forum is perfect, or that it's not possible it could be optimised, but I don't think there's any danger of the website, the forums, the backend DB and the gameservers all running on the same server instance.

Interestingly, having posted in another thread that I don't see this happening and suggesting a few things to try, I'm now seeing slow posts, slow likes etc on my Windows desktop, my mac laptops AND my iPad.

I've noticed that if I refresh a page, everything in it responds significantly faster than if I didn't.

Agreed, super slow and irritating lately. Past month at the very least.

Getting worse though.

Takes ages to like anything. After that the website stalls.

HA. Yup. I hit the like button on your post and I started counting in my head "one-thousand one, one-thousand two... etc" and then realised it would be more accurate if I pulled up the windows time and date from the taskbar. So I pulled that up and the "Like" still hadn't registered. Took 21 seconds about before it finally showed up.

I have it EVERY time i visit the forums. It's bloody annoying if i want to like multiple posts and it takes AGES to like anything at all.

When a like is given the whole website stalls and i need to wait for the reload. It takes up roughly 20-30 seconds for a web page to load.

This is the only website i have troubles with.

Me too. It's been about a month or so and it's really affecting my browsing fun. I just like to 'like' posts that I like PGI, what's not to like about that?
