Trust me... you'll never stop brawlers. That's been proven time and time again that Rambo won't be completely put down in the minds of gamers. The only thing that changes is the pitch of their cries and volume of their tears for not being in godmode.

You're not penalized for brawling, you're just not given bonuses for good play. What do you want more? Choose ye this day. Kills which will get you money, or clean piloting bonuses which get you money? If you learn to do both, hey awesome!

I thought the definition of 'Rambo' was a player who just charged into the enemy team alone, but you seem to lump all brawlers as 'Rambo'?

Jump snipers would be perfect for this system- high reward, low risk. Maybe we should bring them back?

I had little problem with poptarts because i knew how to counterbattery lurmtart. Besides i am watching its resurgence among the new clan mechs and never stopped doing it with my vindicators panthers enforcers and grasshoppers.

All combat is about balancing risk and reward. To say otherwise is a fib. In a game the stakes are low. Even moreso for a game that has no consequences for stupid face tanking and thinki g that taking damGe is some macho sign of skill.

It is not. A good brawler i can respect. There are very very few good ones here.

nothing is useful 100s of meters away in MWO, much less 1000s

LOL. You just made me choke on my coffee... lmfao...

Well, I think we all know what your skill level is in this game now.

Since the vast majority of games end in the destruction of one team, and alternate win conditions give poor rewards, I just cannot agree with your suggestion.

Plus, it would be an LRM boat pilot to suggest a system that encourages people to stay out of the danger of combat. :P

Jk Kujoon! How's the new Seraphim regiment recruiting going?

:P back atcha davers.   Theyre doing very well.  The individual captains got let off thr leash and are their own entities and all are recruiting hard across the globe.  Only the condition of CW is slowing their pace.
Btw if you think i have just stayed the same ole LRM pilot its been a long time since you and i played together.  Heh heh heh.  Should check out my recent videos.

So I went ahead and brought out my LCT-1V again because of this thread, and the results were generally pretty bad. Piloting this thing again only really reinforced why I don't like it because its damage is terrible (even with its quirks and firing pretty frequently) and having a torso mounted weapon with barely any torso pitch capability makes it seriously annoying to find a good position that I can fire from; top it off with no jumpjets and paper thin armor and I find that the LCT-1V just blows and contributes very little even when constantly harassing an enemy mech.

I was thinking of trying this or this instead but I don't have any Ravens or Kit Foxes leveled and I hate grinding mechs, so maybe I just won't bother for a while instead.
