I hate clan crap, I love battletech.

This is not a post agsint anyone who plays, love to play and/or puts money in.

I just love Inner Sphere battletech.

If you play clan, good for you, no really...please enjoy the game....

I want true battletech!

(No accustaonon on the part of the developers, mortagages, kids, wife, etc)

Clans are a canon part of Battletech you know. You can make convincing arguments that they were poorly implemented/fleshed out, but that doesn't mean they're not BT. If that was a criteria, nearly everything wouldn't be "true" BT.

The prequel trilogy is a canon part of Star Wars too. Doesn't mean there aren't... regrets.

You know what would be freaking sweet? Themed CW events. Like every month you set it in a different time period and let us fight out the historical wars.

So we could do 3rd succession war, or the golden century, or operation bull dog, the amaris civil war, etc.

Each era has its own tech requirements and chassis restrictions.

Plus it gives PGI a reason to reset the map every month or so that we can all live with.

Plus PGI can then accelerate the time line to whenever they want. (I'd suggest 3060 for those sweet sweet techs and chassis)

Clam tech op, is tech is just, no, not good in any way.

Tis not the mechs that makes clams op, tis the equipment.

So if anything, talk poop about the tech, because in ALL (if not most), clam tech helps you get the gluttons out of the fire.

Oh, that I can agree with.

Remember mechwarrior 3? Clan tech was a NECESSITY if you were to finish that campaign.

Note: clan DHS were extremely overpowered in cooling the mech....

But so was the heat system, which was ridiculous.

Sure, 3025 is would have been a much better choice balance wise, CW wise etc, but wouldn't have attracted that many people in the end. Clan are the **** that bring in the money. So in the end they were and are a necessity for MW:O. If you're personal preference is IS and fighting IS... You are free to do so in CW. If you find a match.

This game was best in the short span between the poptart nerf and the clan invasion. I am glad that everyone can play his favourite dream mech, clanners included, but gameplay suffered with the introduction of the clans. Not that it matters, because after all, this is barely a game, and more a mech shop.
