Did they every get around to unlocking the hero camo so we can use other patterns? Or is that still in works? Even on the table?

I want to put my Stalker Misery in team colors, but its Hero camo pattern makes it look like a big yellow banana. Would be cool if I could use another camo pattern.

I get that hero mechs are special - their camo shouldn't be available on other mechs. But we should be allowed to put other camo on hero mechs.

The camo can't be swapped out and I don't think it is in the works (although I don't know for sure).

Only Clan wave 3 Invasion/champion-variants have unlocked camo, and I believe PGI will be revisiting older IS/Clan non-(c) champions for similar compatibility.

Hero mechs all still have locked camo, and I think unlocking them is still TBD.

Thanks for the link. Sounds like all specialty packs down the road, starting with Founders, and "maybe hero mechs"

from russ' tweets it sounds like they plan on allowing heroes to swap skins also.

Myself I'd rather they release a higher resolution 'hero' skin upgrade.

Not really. Although I'm sure the pugs aligned with factions would appreciate it.

But since my team rotates around CW for contracts (as most teams do) and plays in leagues, allowing us to camo up in team colors/camo would be more practical.

the problem is that many hero mechs.. just like founders and other special mechs have odd bits of geometry that prevents them from smoothly using the normal skins.

Or in short a big amount of work for very little gain.

I just make it an assortment of greys to help :/.

I kinda wish it was done a bit differently. If the Jester's teeth and eyes were the same layer, you could make them white like they should be and it would allow you to make the rest of the camo what you wanted.

I also would have loved it if it had a shark face like an old WWII fighter instead of the Alice In Wonderland cat face.

Oh well :/
