what is with this trying, in my eyes, to con me into buying an unlock for the chassis for class even at 50% when 1 shot use is soo much cheaper even if you have the 4 variants as 1 of them is a Invasion unique geometry that won't accept it.

Make it so Invasion varinats can also use the camo or it's just not a smart thing to do in my eyes, idk anyone who changes there camo that often it's worth unlocking a whole chassis instead of just 1 shots for clan mechs.

Perhaps for IS chassis with 6 variants yeah but for 2 mechs which i try not to use in favour of the 30% c-bill boost invasion ones, yeah no thanks.

Give me something thats a true sale or deal and you got my cash till then, please stop trying to delude me and many others into thinking that even at 50% the clan camo unlock for the chassis over 1 shot use is a good deal.

Actually, they are planning on making all "Special" variants, like Heros, Invasion, Resistance, et cetera, capable of using basic camo patterns. It's just going to take them some time to do it.

But, i would agree. The permanent unlockable camos are just not worth the MC. Too expensive.
It's better to use the One-shots, even if you apply the same camo on all of your mechs.

Yea 1 shots are the best value. That said I like the price for colors. Pay for them 1 time and if you have 100 mechs you can use red paint 100 times. That's a deal i can live with.

I don't think this is correct. The "Special" variants, like Heros, Invasion, Resistance will only be able to use the Faction camos only. The 6 IS factions or the 4 Clan faction.

Juodas Varnas is indeed correct. My SHC-Prime (I) has digital camo bought with 1 shot. No way am I spending 750mc to "unlock" a camo for one chassis type. Far too expensive.

I made the mistake of unlocking Woodland camo for 750MC on my Victors.. A week later, they nerfed the crap out of the victor, so it was a double whammy.

To be honest, especially having just created a thread on the XP/Cbill/PT economy, I think PGI needs to sit down and have a real review a bit like this:

'Players want to support the game, players want to use PT, players want XP to mean something, players play for rewards, players want camo and colours, players will pay for MC, players like modules, players don't want to feel ripped off so... How do we make this make money for us and keep players happy.' If they start off with that kind of question, listen to feedback, use some common sense.. we'll get there.

I would have bought the camos for my invasion variants. That would have been the perfect moment to release them but making minor changes to the variants seems to take much time.

They did when they allowed you to buy camos for one-shot.

Paying for paint or camo is ridiculous. Back in the day camo and paint came with the game for free! (after you bought the game)

Back when I bought my first DDC I was really excited about MWO and was planning on having all these different camos that I would switch around so my mech was always dressed for success depending on the map.

Then I realized it's a 10 to 1 cost ratio and math happened. One-shots ever since.

Also it didn't help when I found out some people were using sweetFX to clean up the graphics and there was no way to actually hide using camo. So there's that too.

Not as far as I know. Its a one time usage and if you change it you can't change it back without paying to oneshot again.

I might be more tempted to use camo if they put some effort into it. Most patterns are a horrible low res mess.

This is in fact wrong, i already but a Normal MC camo (Not sure which one) on my EBJ Prime....It's like the 3 color splattered camo looking one but its NOT a faction pattern.

You can put anyone you want on them now....

He was a good sport about it too! But he is correct...


and yea you can buy like 7 one shots for the price of ONE UNLOCK...totally not worth it.
