I dusted off my COM-2D and took it for a walk on Grim Plexis. Man, that was fun! Love that map and love the COM post quirks!

During the recent Loot Bag Event for Pot O' Gold, I ran my CN9-YLW almost exclusively. It's become my go-to Mech for fast drops and high match scores. Below is a highlight from one of the matches I ran, as well as my best match during the Event.

I got to participate in TBRN's MRBC round last week. It was a lot of fun!

The Brethren Pirate Periphery Confederation is celebrating its third anniversary during the month of April! TBRN was established April of 2013, so every April we hold a month-long Rum-Off to celebrate! Four Fridays out of the month, TBRN pilots congregate to battle it out in a tiered combat system to determine who's the best in TBRN! This year, BerserX won last Friday's Light Mech Rum-Off, beating me out for it. I took second place, and Briguy took third with his Urban Mech, much to everyone's delight. I offer Premium Time prizes (or equivalently priced Hero Mech Packs) for the 1st place winner in each weight class.

Tonight is our Medium Mech Rum-Off; my best weight class too! Last year, I placed second over all, my SRM Centurion losing to a hyper-Gauss Grid Iron. This year, I had a new strategy to win, but then RL pitched me a curveball. Sadly, I won't be participating tonight, but the rest of TBRN will be duking it out on Polar Highland in a winner-take-all brawl!

Here is the video from last Friday's Light Mech Rum-Off. It's the raw vid; I haven't had time (RL's too busy!) to edit out the dead parts (Lobby, set-up, match load-times, etc.). I will eventually go back and shorten it though. In the meantime, please enjoy!

The Brethren Pirates decided to run an all-Raven drop with two Assaults to bring us up to the minimum tonnage requirement. It was a blast! Unluckily for us though, we ran into an Aces Wild 12-Man and got our butts kicked. It was a fun troll drop though! o7 to the AW!





This was an exciting match in my GHR-5P with 1200+ damage and 4 kills. Nice to know that I still have what it takes even if I have been mostly inactive for the last three weeks.

TBRN's Heavy Mech Rum-Off was amazing! We had a bevy of pilots slugging it out to see who the best Heavy Mech pilot is. In our Semi-Finals, my two younger brothers duked it out, much to my amusement. In the end, it came down to Ob Panda's overwhelmingly powerful Orion IIC and my Grasshopper 5P. After a knock-down, drag-out fight, Ob's superior firepower beat out my GHR for 1st place.

We even had our first double-elimination as Jason Zero fell to the guns of Blackneto, only for a delayed ammo explosion to avenge his death!

We had some very fierce fighting! I took 2nd in three of the weight classes (Lights, Heavies, and Assaults), so I'm quite pleased. My favorite video on the playlist is from the match I had against Squirg:





We had dueled previously on HPG Manifold for laughs. He beat me mercilessly from range using his dual-Gauss K2. I could never get close enough to hit him with my MPLs. Hence, my cry of revenge. Nothing takes the hoorah out of a well-earned revenge cry like overheating though, huh?

Today is Memorial Day! It's a holiday that usually means fun with the family and an extra day tacked onto your weekend. Let's not forget the true significance of the day though as we go about enjoying it.

Remember to fly your flags at half-mast until noon, and to observe a few moments of silence at 3:00 PM, local time.

To all those who serve or have served, I say "Thank you and God Bless!"

Getting 1,000+ damage in a Cataphract is not as easy as it once was. Those Mechs are as big as a barn with guns mounted, seemingly, on their pinky toes. That was a fun match though!
