The Hounds of Artemis

Forward:
First I should state that I am a professionally trained writer, but primarily for technical and scientific articles as an archaeologist. This is my first attempt at creative writing with something longer than just a few pages. I am a devoted fan to the BattleTech and MechWarrior series and wanted to show my enthusiasm for the franchise with a short story.

I want to thank my friends for helping me edit this work, and I would like to thank the BattleTech community at large for contributing to the creation of such a vast and interesting universe.


Note to the Reader:
This story is set after a number of significant events in the BattleTech universe, and contains a significant amount of references to established characters and technologies. If you do not understand something that is written here then I highly recommend searching for information on the BattleTech Wiki located at http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Main_Page.

Well I see the forums glitched out and corrupted the text...

I'll have to edit this when I have my word document handy... maybe come up with another system of organization to post so that the forums don't glitch out with so much text.

I can see a WHOLE bunch of editing I missed before posting, sorry about that... By the time I get to Mk7 on the version history everything becomes a blur. I'll have to find some time to make some corrections.
