I always pronounce it like an acronym, E.L.O, but I think you can get a pass for syllabalizing it because it actually sounds like a word.

Great overview, BTW. These new maps are epic, and the prospect of more of them excites me more than any other proposed content thus far.

If I understood correctly these maps will also be used for 4 v 4. If the drop spots are also random, then this lance vrs lance combat will be in a huge area where alot of tactics are possible and scouting is a must. Completely different game play to whats in game now.

You mean the old, smaller replaced ones? Or the new ones?

I'm with Kiiyor. These terrific maps are a serious boost to my game experience. I find the matches so much more interesting.

River City truly feels like an urban battle location, where the centre of combat changes with each match. The time of day is a lot more fun than the previous one.
I'm very excited to see a lot of the stale maps get a reboot.

If they keep adding interesting maps, I'll keep playing and paying.

In reference to the ranking system, it's "Elo" (one word, pronounced "ee-loo").
The ranking system is named after its creator, Arpad Elo (an early-1900s mathematician born in what is now Hungary).

The acronym form (e.g. ELO/E.L.O.) is a British rock group dating back to the 1970s.

I assume the new ones. Since only maps that are dropship capable make sense to be added to the planets on the galaxy map. Really the 4 v 4 is a huge game changer. An easy one fore the guys making this game to so a win, win. Although how they intend to make all the battles fit together via scouting etc makes it even more interesting.

Also the whole idea of these maps being dropship capable now means they can be added to the galaxy map planets in other ways maybe.

I bet the map making people are very busy.

Dear sweet baby Jesus, please tell me it is Frozen City. If we got rid of all the old 8v8 maps, it would be amazeballs.
