Front Mission 4 was one of my all time non-Battletech games. Glad to see it made the list.

I guess it's a pretty decent list and thanks for mentioning Slave Zero! :D

BTW, I think Zone of the Endersshould be on the list.

I remember playing ZoE if only for its odd cockpit placement... ^_^

Hawken and MechAssault was on the list, but they didn't have MechCommander or Mechwarrior 3 or 4 (honourable mention).

They didn't even have Terra Nova: Alpha Centauri or Heavy Gear?

Terranova Strike Force Centauri is legendary. It was so far ahead of its time, I got it when it came out! Heavy Gear was a great game, lots of good memories of skating around in that. If they have Hawken on the list and not those 2 or even mechcommander then its not a ten 10 worth looking at B)

EDIT: Titanfall at 2, lol. Right. I also hate japanese mecha :/

Yeah the fact they picked Titanfall for 2nd is silly and Armored Core 5 was the worst one they made! These guys need to do better research but it made happy to see MechWarrior at the top! Posted Image

If you like Armored Core, Front Mission Evolved has a similar playstyle but uses Front Mission lore for the "Wanzer" weapons etc and story. I enjoyed it, even though i would have rather had a next gen Front Mission game instead, I still recommend.

That Gundam game, haven't tried that one. I do have the Dynasty Warrior Gundam 2 and 3 though, and those were enjoyable- if you like Gundam. SOme of the older console Gundam titles were fun, but many lacked that sort of twitchy movement you would expect from Gundam, the DW games had it pretty decent. "Federation vs Zeon" was another fun one, played like an arcade port(it might have been) and had crap tons of voice overs etc- plays a little sluggish compared to the much newer DW games, but I still get it out once in a while.

Also, what? No MWO? lol. Maybe the guy that made the video kept getting lurm'd to death trying to finish his cadet bonus and buy his first mech.

Does anybody remember that first person RTS where you could roll in tanks and also had mechs. Scenario was a fictitious battle for the moon between Soviet Union and US. You could shoot out the pilot of the mech by hitting a red dot on it with your pilot's gun. Played it via LAN so much, but can't remember that freaking name...

Battlezone 1 and 2? (Epic game btw). I used to mod it, made the main battlezone 2 tanks into a 'Brittank' B)

Still looks good tbh, the 'floatyness' of the tanks is so memorable. Details of how to play it now are in the vid :D

Neither Earthsiege or Starsiege? How could I take this list seriously(at least Star Siege should have made it..). Probably I'm just playing the spoiled child here.

On a more serious note, though, anyone noticed that most of these games are reeeeally old? I'd love to see a new mech game with a focus on PvE and/or a turn-based one.

MWO could have made the honorable mentions but since no one knows it exists we can't call this a snub :P

You want to know a game they missed.

Star Siege. I loved the hell out of that game.
