Apart from you not knowing that it's "ArCtic Cheetah", I second this.
I played the ACH myself and the hitboxes are just ridiculous.
Dancing right before a lance of enemy mechs firing at me: no problem, as long as I keep my speed up.
Totally broken.

LEARN TO AIM NOW!!
Its so weird how I shoot them the same way you think you are and I don't have trouble hitting the components I am aiming at...

When I do this to test this totally broken-ess I die horribly...

To start off politely, Arcitc Cheetahs are not broken, in fact, they are well made, the same can be said for the stormcrow, too.
Now let's get down to why it's so well made.
It has a good profile.
It has good speed.
It has small hitboxes.
It has jump jets.
Now considering the fact that when you shoot a already fast moving target with small hitboxes, there is a high chance you won't be able to hit where you want, this also applies to lasers, as, over time they do damage, making it worse for those with even above average aim to miss.
This also applies that when hitting a already damaged part, say, a side torso for example, damage transfers over, but not much.
And this is why arctic cheetahs are difficult to kill, no broken hitboxes, just really small and hard to hit ones.

If people on the forums weren't claiming it was an unstoppable, unkillable, monster I would never have thought it was any different from any other light mech.
Sometimes, I come across a fresh ACH in game. 20-30 seconds later its dead and it'll only have done minimal damage to me. There have been a few times they overheated near me and I blew off both their legs in 10-15 seconds.
Most of them use mass SPL builds which means if you stand somewhere on the map they can't use cover to get within 200-300 m of you, you can pick them apart at long range without them doing anything. Their range is so short that if they don't have cover to get close they're ineffective.
Arctic cheetahs are easy to deal with from my perspective. Whenever I see people complain about ACH I feel like I'm witnessing someone who "locked themselves inside their car" dialing 911 to ask for assistance freeing themselves. It just makes zero sense to me.

NOPE
Why?
Only one reason that still exists to this day:
Real.
Broken.
Hitboxes.
Truth spoken

And sometimes they will overheat, shutdown, and take 50-60 damage to the CT without registering any of it. It blows my mind that people would be upset about that? I guess I can think of one small segment that wouldn't be upset.

there will still be T1/2's claiming such stuf to hope PGI is listening to them and their "truth" to get the game changed into their favour.
Yet public tiers would help to identify people claiming nonsense based on just not knowing how to play the game correctly. because of those people, we have many.
@OP, aim for the damn legs, and hip area, not their torsi, they have slim hitboxes that aren't broken, they just make it hard to stay on a single location. Lern the weakspots of mechs, it makes your life easier.

The same thing happens to almost all the mechs in the game. it is *!#@state rewind at it's finest.
I have alpha'd a CHERRY red stalker in his rear torso and not had him die 3-4 times. Done it to a BJR1 as well. And the list goes on, it happens OFTEN on all mechs.
It happens more OFTEN on FS,ACH, Raven than any other light.
Just yesterday I alpha'd an AWESOME in the CT more times than I had to in order to kill it as well.
Full hit confirmed with red cursor no damage applied. They still have a LONG way to go on the netcode. It's better than it's ever been, but still freaks out from time to time.

that I've seen: shutdown cheeto surrounded by 4 mechs, everyone fires at it, mech totally engolfed in blasts, it powers up and away it goes.
it must have some very microscopic hitboxes
