After reading the notes everything seems understandable but then dropping into game and realizing the match scores have been increased dramatically my question is if you're using the data from January to decide someones tier.. an average of match score, lets say a number like 60 or 80 puts you in tier 1.. with these new match scores being in the 350-650 range wouldn't everyone be in tier 1 in the matter of time?

The new match scores are calculated differently so the score values which determines a good/bad game has been changed as well. Getting to T1 would require 500+ score per game probably. And victories, though matters less, still matters.

Well they mentioned the data from January till now, which wouldn't me mentioned for no reason.. my alternative theory was if they ran all that old data through their new match score formula, but that would be one hell of a backlog and coding job

Well the old formula was only based on W/L, the new one is built around the match score.

Is there some place we can look to see what Tier we are currently in?

PGI is free to define a curve how to distribute Players into the different Tiers.
They could set a percentage of Players for each Tier - for example a 10-20-40-20-10 percent distribution...its up to PGI.

Thanks, I had a long message typed out on how hard it would be for them to do that but I guess they've got massive backlog data on how every match plays out.. Thanks for finding that mizeur
