At most you are protected on one side. The sight lines on the map are such that you often get hit in the side meaning that the only viable strategy is a constantly moving death ball.

I admit that the fights seem more dynamic, but I've often found that in engaging one enemy I inevitably lose a side torso to someone else. In other maps this happens because you lose situational awareness or the enemy positions better. In NFC it happens almost no matter what you do, and unfortunately because of all the trees is very hard to see. It's very much like Veridian, except Viridian has a lot more defined pathing and secure cover.

LRMs also get completely rekt by all the cluttered scenery

Its the 24th....only 4 more days left of this game according to Nostradamus up there!!! :P

Holy cow what will i ever do with myself! someone else cried about how the sky is falling...(was that on par with your sarcasm? lolz)

New maps are great, if you dont like them maybe this game isnt for you with its new direction. It remained me a lot of the one PS2 map....Emerish i think?....not many sight lines on that map and its HUGE!

This game isnt Snipewarrior online, so you may have to move once and a while to win fights.

I'm having a completely different experience most likely because i don't really play the static game. I'm generally always moving or trying to position for that tasty flank attack.

and things you can shoot through, or cant. Like the shell in the middle (on Viridian) sometimes you can shoot through it sometimes you cant or ppl shot through to me but when I return fire mine are blocked -.-

Yeah I was asking in game what vision mode to use because Im constantly being shot by guys I cant see but they obviously CAN see me

And all the trees and stuff wreck some ppls' frame rates

Well, it IS a forest. If you want to not get stuck on anything, there are roads.

It is a tradeoff:

A. Take the roads, take longer to get "there".

B. Go off the beaten path, risk getting stuck on things.

As for the Bog... well... it IS a BOG. -_-

I like the new maps, but I do notice a performance drop in them similar to the CW maps. They do look a very nice though so that figures I guess

New maps are great. Yeah, FC is hard to see in, but thats fine. So you cant see clear across the entire damn map. Maybe you lose sensor locks alot more. Besides, this game needs to head more in the hardcore, skilled direction of heat management, teamwork, scouting, keeping locks, coordination and less "lets see how many CLPL I can put on this commando".

THe old FC was terrible. It was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy to small and WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy to open. I mean, I can see the general layout of the old FC in there, and compared to the new FC, good lord was the old FC small as hell.....We can fit like 4 old FCs in the space of the new FC. New FC looks fantastic. It really adds a sense of immersion that this game seriously is void of. Same with new River city. Both the new maps look like they went more with a "how an actual city and forest might look", over...lets put this here, and that there.

I walk around maps like Vitric, looking at that layout, or Tiaga or w/e, and the layouts look like they just used a big boom theory to build it and lay it out, over any kind of sensible military establishment might look.

All t he CW maps are like that....random and derpy. FC and RC look like they took a shift away from that and its amazing. I await thier redo of Alpine, when "Big derp candy mountain" goes away.

phil play a dire in forest colony ... half of ur team will be dead before u get to the action and the low arms allways hit those small trees

the map is fine if u pilot a mech that is small and goes faster than 70km/h but anything slower than that ur just gonna get stuck in ever pile of rocks... and its got alot of those rocks that u can shoot through

we need more maps like HPG Manifold

and we need less stuff that block the shoots or block ur view entirely ... and it really pisses me off when u cant see the enemy cuz of the damn trees(and ecm or other BS that hides them) and they just shoot u with no problem cuz they can lock on to you..ind im spamming R like crazy just to see where they are and using UAVs in useless locations in desperation to return fire

I like the new river city. We have fought in a few location on it. Cover isn't bad and visuals are nice

The new Forest map is way busy. There is to much stuff everywhere. .You end up fighting in the same place every time. I hope they look into cleaning it up and maybe increasing the main pass. So we don't always end up at h9.
