No, they got their chance. And then they destroyed it.

Let them rot amidst the glorious ruins of SWTOR.

Yeah, because every game Blizzard has ever made has been a complete failure that they abandoned shortly after release.

No, I don't think EA is better than Sony or Blizzard. EA is far worse than either of those two.

Sony, while yes, they were the ones publishing Star Wars: Galaxies, from what I understand the "game killing" updates were the order of Lucas Arts. Let us not forget, Sony did give us Planetside. While PS is not without its flaws, it is a good title that did some really cool things.

Blizzard has made good games in the past. Diablo 3's always online DRM is a crap idea, but Blizzard isn't past the point of no return (yet).

As for EA, well...
Bullfrog
Westwood Studios
Bioware
And oh so many more...

Sorry I just don't like blizzard as they take other company's games copy them and dumb them down for the masses with huge easy buttons on them. Although plantside is a exception. I do have to admit I Can't really think of any EA games. Although Sony is a POS money hungry thing in my opinion there games are of higher quality then blizzards easy button games. I see these big gaming company's releasing more and more garbage, while little company's like PGI, Are making the games we actually want to play.

Easy. They decided to focus on one thing to the exclusion of all others- and proceeded to sever their links to everything else in the process, Battletech included.

The company that gave us stuff starting way back with M.U.L.E and Archon became a business that lost it's soul as a gaming company.

EA used to have lots of good games in the olden days. Not seen many so in the last few that I'd want to put my money into.

I was a big fan of the Battlefield Franchise, played the hell out of the games going all the way back to Battlefield 1942.

Played everything upto and including Battlefield 3, and got to "double eagle" status in that game. Not a huge accomplishment as many of my TLB brethren have 4, 6 even TWELVE eagles", but it was still a considerable time sink.

I had read about EAs new CEO and his basic tenent of milking the crup out of gamer for everything they could, but never fully believed it until I saw the recent EA BF3 "Premium" accounts.

I will feel bad if that debate starts on these forums, so just let it suffice that I made my choice as a game not to support that business model. I have high hopes that PGI and company don't lose sight of long term success for short term profits.

Have mercy on the former MPBT:3025 players that roam this board and don't speak of the publisher that shall not be named.

Warhammer online would have been great had not EA pushed the release date and put out a incomplete game because of it.

So might SWTOR, for that matter.
