Just wanted to pop-in and say that i fricking LOVE what you did with the FRR camo.
Looks much better now, than how it used to.

So yeah.
I just made a thread about aesthetics and it's... It's positive.
Feels weird, but nice.

Good job, PGI.

Comparison pics would be nice.

FRR camo is the only camo I'm interested in buying at this point, when they make it available for all my mechs.

Not just because I'm an FFR pilot, but because it looks good with many different colour configurations. I paint my mechs all white, for example, and the new mechs with FRR camo still look awesome in all white.

Here we go (on the left is the default colors, on the right are the ones i use (Camo Dark Blue and Camo Light Grey);
Old, but shiny and meh:

New, but matte and cool:

Due to how the light sources work in the Mech-Bay, the old one doesn't SEEM as shiny as it actually was (but i can't really make a new screencap now).
The new one looks much less like a plastic toy, which i'm really happy about.

I agree, in fact the color for FRR itself were always so dang eye popping I didn;t really use them. The new anti shine style is a vast improvement.

Wow, they look really good! I might paint some of my Mechs with that after using Davion's for some time (which IMO was the best looking).

The problem is that is still has a giant golden target in the middle of your ct. I would be slightly less annoyed if I could at least make it a bright pink or purple target.

Well, that's the problem with it being the 1st Tyr camo. They ALWAYS had a giant golden viking helmet on the mech.

(Which is why i would've much preferred 3rd Drakons being the camo of choice for the FRR.

Also the emblem is still bright and shiny as ever on the Panthers. Haven't bothered to check other mechs.

The emblem is supposed to be SHINY AND GOLD.
They only made the primary colour of the mech more matte and less plastic-looking.

All I'm saying is that the FRR camo is a tactical disadvantage.

And yet not one of the others has a locked color (shiny gold in FRR's case) target on them. The defaults are indeed pretty bold, but at least they are changeable to make them less so if you like. FRR has the target regardless.

Wow the matte really makes the metallic helmet and trim lines pop doesn't it?

It really does, yeah. Makes for a nice contrast.
