Hello Everyone,

After a long hesitation I've started this game. I'm quite a new one and I do not get one thing.

This Beta clan wars thing. It is a very good idea. I'm with Laos and I cannot find any sense in this game mode sometimes as no matter how hard we try, it seems impossible to win against the clan mechs, no matter we defend or attack.

What is the point of this game mode putting inner sphere players in a very bad position? I know the story, blabla. :) But I would like to have some win sometimes... It is a game afterall.

Would anyone enlighten me why should I stay with the inner sphere and keep playing this event without any chance to win a single game?

Thanks! No whining as sometimes I get nice rewards. It is only the frustration sometimes. Which I would like to put an end to by asking for enlightment. :)

Thanks!

Yes, them Clans, very unbeatable.

At this point, the balance between Clan and IS with their best mechs isn't big enough to be the major factor in CW matches. Most game outcomes have to do with how good the players are and what their builds are.

From my experience, IS does tend to have worse random players outside of Wolf, which somehow has even worse players.

Why do so few people know what CW stands for?

I'm getting the same scores I got with Clam mechs as I do IS. PUGs do equally terrible. Losses aren't because of "Super OP WTFBBQ Clam Robots", but because Terribads (and new players).

Entire dropdecks comprised of Trial mechs.

My opinion? If you're not having fun, don't play CW.

Wait for PGI to deliver a better product.

Oh thanks. I didn't say I do not enjoy, just sometimes it frustrates me as we never had a slight little chance against clans. So I came for enlightment not for such advises you had Alistair. :)

I will keep playing it as I have had an additional mech bay as a reward a few matches back. But thanks... :) And I love the BattleTech universe.

I just really see brutal mechs opposing us with mainly Trial mechs in our lines most of the times. I use them too as I only have 2 builds of my own. Which are pathetic. A Commando and a half ready Hunchy.

I'm just trying to understand where the balance is, just out of curiosity. Lots of trial mechs mean lots of unexperienced players. Yes, it is true. But I do not think that is all. But it is in it as I see a lots of friends in the opposing teams with freaking number of kills in a single game with one death max. And not a single one like this with the inner sphere gang. So Why all good players join one of the Clans?? :)

I really feel that the claners are way more powerful. More decent mechs with terrifying advance in their tech and much more experienced players with almost perfect builds.

Unbalanced. :)

Is there any info where this event will grow?

Oh! And McGral18 I've had very few info when I joined the ranks of Liao about the CW. Maybe you can tell me more.

The biggest balance problem in CW is teamwork. The people who communicate and coordinate better win, whether Clan or IS mechs. Pugging it in CW is *very* difficult because there are many larger groups playing in CW and being able to work as an effective 12 man group is what wins. And chances are that if you are a pug group you are probably facing a team made up of one or more groups that are pre-made.
So, either join up with a unit and do some group drops or use the LFG (Looking for Group) options to create a group before dropping into CW. And it should go without saying that VOIP (in game, or TeamSpeak/mumble/etc) are a key factor in working as a team. Do these things and you'll find your matches are going to go much better in CW.

Also be aware that there is no skill matching in CW like there is in the pug out group queue. Who and what you gave is essentially pure luck

Community Warfare, where you pit 12 players against another dozen. Each player gets up to 240 tons and 4 respawns.

My advice is to bring mid to long range weapons, and minimise the short range. It allows you to kill things before they get close to you, especially if they don't make the same range decision.

Play to your quirks, and trade carefully (don't stand in the open taking 12 ERLLs to your face). Group up, as a solitary PUG won't be able to do much.

Oh thanks! It makes sense. Both of you. Three of you. :)

I have to make my mics working... Since I have Win10 there is always something. :D

Still interesting that experienced players tend to join the Clans... I've only seen real teams there, not in IS. Weird.

The difference is still way too big. I've only seen an Atlas once. DWs and Ebonies are regular when playing...Meh... Let's keep practicing. :)

Clearly that battle proves the balance of the game. They should just throw out their big rebalance and send everyone home.

Look... the only thing that REALLY matters is how well organized you are. Other than that... with 2 similarly skilled teams it'll be whoever screws up first loses 9 times in 10.

In CW if you're not in a organized group with voice communication you are going to get stomped. If you are...you might have a chance...

All that screenshot proves is that an unorganized mixed team went up again a few players of a superior skill level and lost. Thinking you can determine game balance from a single screenshot is beyond absurd.

PGI has all the data and I really hope they base their balance decisions on that. I think it's a good thing they ignore most of the talk on the forums.

Actually I have had a match now where I felt what is written here. Somehow the team was organized no matter there were only 3 members with the same tag in their name. There was no VOIP at all amongst us in the game. Everyone knew where to go and what mech to attack. Miracle I think... :D We focused our fire and in the first rush the claners had we destroyed their 9 mechs without any losses in 4 minutes. From then it was a matter of time only with that team to win the game. No matter the trial mechs too...

I saw 12 kills amongst us, etc, etc. The whole stat was reversed. We ***** them just like a whole team did to us in the next round. They were organized.

I guess that is the key and the other one is the good builds. But in this order. :)

Woaaaa.... Any thoughts where can I join groups? I think I'm good at supporting with my Commando. I have a Brawler type Hunchy too for now. :D And my Mic is working properly.

It was amazing when we were organized. Now that I know what counts from experience, I do not care loosing when I see a good team against us.

Check in the faction forums:
http://mwomercs.com/...s-inner-sphere/
There are ones for each house, so check the house Liao if you wish to stay there. Most of them have a open/public TeamSpeak server where you can just join up with other house members from any unit for group drops, or check the recruitment threads from the units if you are looking to join up with one specific unit.
