Readying up doesn't do anything until everyone has loaded, anyway, and once everyone has loaded the timer instantly goes to 10s; so you're only really waiting 10s longer than if everyone instantly clicked ready.

Not sure how the ladies that play MWO feel about being called, "bro'".

The "Ready" button made sense in the first implementation, but after they changed it so the timer goes to 10s when everyone has connected, it is completely superfluous.
They should remove it, since it has no purpose any more.

As long as nobody disco's or fails to join and has 0 ping, the timer will drop as soon as everyone is loaded, clicking the ready button doesn't do anything.

That's it.

If everyone successfully connected, the timer is set to 7 seconds, if not, the ready button does nothing.
In the best case scenario, you gain 7 seconds.

You'd still have to wait 7 seconds!?!!11oneleven
But most people ready up. It is just... their hard disks are crap. I've installed MWO on my SSD, which means I win the ready game most of the time. But my buddy don't have a SSD. Or a fast PC. So he is one of the last who connects and says somethign like "hey nice, everyone is ready already!"
So scrap your mechanical HDDs, folks!

I usually hit it, but this is the truth. There is absolutely no point in standard drops as the counter drops to 10 once everyone loads in.

Ready button... more like placebo button.
press it to ...... i dont know do i get more cbills ? extra armor ? i have no idea because it sure does not do anything else when i mash it. .
besides since when has mwo actually ever had all 23 people working together to make a better gaming experience for you ?
and dont you think that is selfish anyhow ?
i mean really .
your asking 23 other people to do something to enable you to have a better game experience.
when i ask 23 other people to not shoot me do i get that request granted . Hell No, im blasted left right top and bottom rear and front. so again why sould i press some ready button.
me being in the match tells you im ready just like those assults sitting at the start .... still sitting there, ready button pushed...
but still sitting there other 3 lances half way across the map but the assults still sitting there...
then all of a sudden in chat .
ASSULT LANCE: Hey wait up guys .. as always every one leaves the assaults behind. stupid team AHJJJJJKKK DD WW Help !!! artic chhteeeah wwwdddddaaaassssssaddfadadadadahjgkfjkhghjkgjkhblghj;kl;kjl';ljk

Since then I've never been in a game where everyone was ready before the timer ended.
I've seen an entire team ready be ready, but not everyone.

I think the OP has his answer now.
Ready button is a lie. Its a derelict from a long forgotten time.

When all Players have "Connected" the Countdown jumps to 10 seconds (if it was >10s).
Conclusion:
Ready is not worth the click!
