You need to XL your mechs more. 250 Std engine on a Thunderbutt-9SE is pretty darned sluggish to keep up with Arctic Cheater's movements. Try something like this instead, with the same weapons but much better mobility and heat reduction.

Honestly? Aside from Clan Streaks, the real counter for the Cheetah and other Light mechs is good aim. Any regular Gauss Vomit or regular vomit or whatever build with a decent shot will wreck a Light pilot. Ask good Light pilots about what they're actually afraid of: a streak boat, or an uncannily good dual Gauss one hit kill shot from that dire you didn't realize had sight on you.

The Cheetah is also somewhat heat-limited in its builds with limited range. Even something like the ML BJ-1X will do well against a Cheetah with just a couple quick and cool alphas to leg it.

I Mastered my ACH and havent played it much since. I haven't played anything but a Battlemaster since the switch to PSR and have been kicking ass. I don't have a problem with the ACH and don't feel like it is a pay to win at all. I paid for it and I'm not even playing it.

I tried using a gargoyle with 2 x SSRM6 and a clan active probe.

That paired with 6 spray and pray lasers on the right arm = absolutely brutal damage on arctic cheetahs.

They were literally running / limping away from me as fast as their little legs could carry them.

I felt sorry for the ACH.

Other than that I just use my Wang. They drop fine. (They are still rediculous though, and people that use them should feel ashamed).
