OK, so I may be a little ahead my self here, but I just thought we may as well start gathering a public opinion for PGI when they are picking the next wave of mechs. Quadrupeds, melee, MASC over 172kph, and Macross mechs (even though we all want them) have been left out of the poll.
I personally think the selected mechs should be: the Javelin, Assassin, Guillotine, and Cyclops. Please leave input on what you think a good combination would be, and why they go well together. Have a nice day!

Unfortunately, none of those are very appealing.
Not enough to make me want to buy them in packs.

I frankly wasn't very pleased either. Most of the mechs left lack variation to others in game, or we just can't have them thanks to Harmony Gold, melee, or MASC. It may soon become time for a jump and move three years to 3055, although PGI could begin making mechs like the Mackie instead.

The main problem for R3 would be the heavy weight class - without the Unseens you don't have really good options - that are not in game yet.
All the SDLF Mechs mostly Energy only builds - or a humanoid version of the Catapult.
Ostroc and Ostsol both are Unseens - and are no real option for a BlackKnight or Jester.
The best option would be the Flashman (faster BlackKnight, or the Exterminator - heavyer Quickdraw.
The guillotine is a Grashopper with a face mod.
The Caesar a Catapract

Russ did say we're in 3052 and PGI has shown some willingness to bend the timeline to get certain mechs in game. Also, you should anticipate a timeline jump to at least 3055.
With all that said, I'd suggest you make a few additions. Such as the Penetrator, Lancelot, etc. Just to make up for the rather thin lineup thats available.
Personal list would be: Javelin/Mongoose for light, Assassin at medium, Penetrator/Lancelot for heavy, Nightstar/Devastator for assault.
