Standardization of texture files to 2k with a 4k pack available for download for high spec systems.
Better User interface scalability at resolutions above 1080p. The UI is unintelligible at native 4k.
Implementation of Direct X 12 (though this will likely never happen)
Return of inverse kenetics.
STANDARDIZATION OF FOG AND TREES ACROSS ALL VIDEO SETTINGS: When you play on high/very high you are at a disadvantage to people who play on low, because there are more trees and fog effects in your way. Make new ultra low detail trees, and low impact fog effects for low end systems, so people who play on low do not have a visual advantage.
These are all critical. Inverse Kinematics' removal still doesn't sit well with me, and it's been years. This game has gorgeous mechs, and some gorgeous environments, but the interactions between mech and environment are sorely lacking. Having some destructible trees, fences, etc., is a great start, but right now the mechs still look out of place in their own environment.
I'd also like to second the part that Lordred bolded here. The difference between high settings and low really is night and day; it's particularly heinous on the new Forest Colony. The game looks great at the highest settings and I can run it just fine that way, but I had to turn down my detail, I finally got fed up with being shot by people who I couldn't see well enough to shoot back. Turns out all I had to do was turn down my graphics, and while now I can see, the game looks awful.

This game lives and dies on its whales. Most of the "micro" transactions that keep this game going are $20-50. Mech packs are at least $30, and based on the number of preorder mechs I see, there are a lot of people shelling out for the full $120. I'm one of the filthy poor, but it's hard to deny that every single bit of paid content in this game is aimed squarely at the whales, and boy has fishing been good for PGI.
