If you want to reward people for spending money, you have to reward everyone equally.
Just look at what pheonix owners got with Phoenix rising event. They were able to vote if the pack goes on sale again and got a 5% LP boost cockpit item. Wow. Spectacular. Those Phoenix pack owners cashed in hard for sure.

You can't limit great events to one type of pack owners while making others, who spent just as much money, play for rewards that outright s*ck in their event.

They should just do it like the wave III event. Give everyone the chance to own the gifts, but hand out free ones to pack owners.

having only the Resistance 1 I have to say I'm okay with the grab bag.

Those prices are mostly useless, some mc or maybe a day premium is nice but that's it. Won't buy a top tier package for those, lol.

Now I'll play 40 matches with my res mechs and have 20 million cbills more, beside the 30% hero bonus, which is very nice

For the 10mill...
You'll need 10 drops at 150 per day.
Give or take a couple of <150 rapings.
For the 100 bags... You'll need 20+ 150s per day.

If you don't want to run ®s.... run any mech you want and forfeit 10mill extra.
But you'll still get you 250 per (plus a bag if your blood packed).

Would it be that hard to include a CW score (300) for those of us that actually like CW over the regular queue.

That way well be true but is the population in this game so low, that the extra 50 to 100 players normally in the CW queue, really going to make that much difference.

I own both R1 and R2 and have active premium time going and even with the bonuses I could still really care less about playing in the public queues with the stupid game play that these events induce. I had enough of that through the Oceanic event. My preferred game mode is CW. It has enough issues with player population without the need to endlessly spam events that take more players away from it.

It is a number that they have to check at the end of the game to see if you qualify, they have done it before I am sure they could do it again. They are not doing that and haven't for the last few events. It is really starting to look like they are trying to sabotage their own game (mode).

I'm glad with the extra 20M C-bills. But this event still won't entice me to buy into R2 (and certainly not top tier). I like variety in my mechs, just getting loads of laser vomit doesn't cut it.

I own neither pack. Sure, I can still participate in this event somewhat but as an old timer who has been playing almost since alpha, its not like I really need c-bills. I have about 40 mil+. That's enough to buy a trio of Jenner IICs when they eventually do come out for c-bills. That'll do for now. I don't really need more.

There needs to be more of an incentive for me to log in instead of playing other games instead.

When they did that Urbanmech event that only Urbanmech owners could participate I already protested against even though that event had no prizes to speak of, saying it would become worst over time. And here we are after a few other VIP events: some people get triple rewards (double money + bags) just based on pay 2 win.
I don't think there's going to be much of a protest yet, what I wonder is how much can we slid down towards p2w before there is any meaningful reaction.

Yes, MCs are the only chance (besides free Mechbays) to get new Mechbays, that's right. And PGI already gave away a dozen or so for free, just as more than a lance of Mechs where you also just had to play (1x Centurion, 1x Thunderbolt, 1x Victor, 1x Cataphract [iirc], 1x Medium IS or Clan, 1x Assault IS or Clan). How do you think should PGI earn money with a f2p, when they constantly give away the only things for free, you actually have to pay for? They gifted enough bays for a company. You want a battaillon? Then actually buy sth and support the company that developes the game you are playing for years.

Yes, the grind is long, the prices can be lower etc., but PGI surely isn't giving away stuff for free on a too less level.

The only thing i do not like on this event is, htat CW isn't included again. It would be nice to have the choice what you want to play and to not suck the already too few players out of CW because of the events.

No. It's Resistance owners that paid up $160 in total for both packs are eligible. I suggest you reread what the terms of the grabbag are.

From the event page itself said:

If you qualify for the Blood Pact by owning both Resistance 1 and Resistance 2 top-tier Collections, piloting any 'Mech in the Assault, Skirmish, or Conquest modes (Solo or Group queue) and achieving a minimum Match Score of 150 will award you with 1 "Blood Transfusion" random prize redemption (up to a maximum of 100 for the duration of the event).

Resistance Wave 1 Owners only get the double C-bill bonus from the event (from 10m to 20m, ONLY if they use the Resistance variants).

It's actually ironic what PGI is actually doing with respect to the title of the event.

They could also give every resistance package a bonus if 10 mio C-Bills - would it sound better for you? Now ppl. have to work for this money. And every single motivation will cause the ppl. to play more and keep the match-making times shorter,

So just be happy and take your part of free C-Bills! :-)

well to be quite frank...


I also feel a little bummed out by not doing the 'trick or treat' style event like the other resistance folks... however this event still gives c-bills for those who do not have a single R mech and even more c-bills for those who do, it's not really that exclusive of an event. The event is mainly centred on the blood pack deal and stuff.

However I think i can handle it- maybe events have came around to us for free and we got like several weeks extension on the latest one. I mean it's not like we are starving of events, I do not follow up on US holidays much but halloween is next month correct? Or at least the following month? a trick or treat event there will no doubt come around for sure, as well as as I can bet some kind of CW event next month maybe as we are going in for a map reset since clan wolf already won (?).
