I think the gauss rifle is just fine how it is right now. The only thing i think is just too strong is throwing around double guass rifles, the pinpoint alpha damage is just insaine. Even if they poke, and you're skilled, you can still charge up and hit them most of the time before they can take cover.
What do you guys think of doubling the charge up time if you are charging 2 Gauss rifles at the same time?
tossed some extra choices in the poll just for the hell of it

You don't see many of these builds. Perhaps 1 in a hundred Mechs are built this way. Most have lasers or lighter weapons. No need to fix something that isn't broke. So here is a suggestion. STOP FREAKING TRYING TO NERF EVERYTHING.

PGI wants longer TTK so i voted to increase the charging time when mounting multiple gauss rifles.
Besides i'm pretty tired of seeing the same builds being done over and over.
In the lore the mechs had nutty loadouts and i'm constantly using nutty loadouts now. Guess what?
I'm slightly better than average...nothing to brag about though. But i got much more fun than when i used boats.
The game becomes much more thrilling when i'm in a duel with ridicilously long TTK than when i just go with meta builds.

I hope you're joking, over half the group matches im against at least 2 dual gauss direwhales/crabs

Leave the thing where it is and don't touch it ffs
PGI has already nerfed it to the ground, so if you fail to deal with it I can just only guess how you even manage to play MWO
50+ energy pulse lazer alphas out there for pony knows how long and people whine about the hardest weapon ingame

Then how do we reward the elite, uber-skilled pilots that are able to instantly converge two multi-ton weapons at any distance any time to hit the exact same centimeter from hundreds of meters away?
Oh, wait. We can all do that in this game....

Point. STOP NERFING. If you stand out in the open, you deserve to get shot at. Use cover.

I see dual guass all over the place, not sure what matches you've been in but these builds are wrecking machines.
