Last night, I was in the midst of a crumbling city on the brink of war. Shattered windows rained down from above as explosive bombast echoed from the rooftops. And then there was fire and sheets of metal! Streaks of green and blue and red bolts blazed through a boiling cauldron of ash as rockets and artillery scorched the serene outskirts of town. And out of the haze... a figure emerged, proud and pure it walked, closer it came and the fighting stopped. Everyone stared in awe as they wondered who this man was--to brave the tempestuous turmoil--to risk life and limb to cross the divide to do what?

What did he say?

What did he do?

He smiled. The face smiled! And then I saw him for who he was! It was Russ! He stretched out his arms as if to beckon us all to remain calm! He winked! He said everything will be okay!

And then I woke up.

Alas, 'twas nothing but a dream, but I thought I'd share.

Good day, warriors. May your battles be clean and pure. :)

Did you really? Your post appears as a joke, but you describe it so vividly that I might believe you really did dream this as you were sleeping.

What was he wearing? And why was he stretching his arms out towards you?

Did he want you to know that if you fall backwards, he would always be there to catch you?

Rest assured, the twitter crowd are treating him well and bringing him up to speed with all that transpired in his absence. He seems a bit shaken after that week long production meeting, which has no doubt produced some interesting surprises the next few month...

Patch, that's what's in Tuesday's patch. Not patches.

And the mech scaling? That's a huge deal. It's a full rescale of almost every mech in the game, and we have a hell of a lot of them. You might not care about it, but that doesn't make it less of a big deal.

But perhaps most exciting is the fact that players will have never seen this amount of polish and bug fixing.

This coming from PGI is truth!

And who knows we still might NOT

PGI after all

Thank you, sir. Posted Image

Actually I just finished an epic novel a few weeks ago, am shopping for agents and have started my next. I'm six chapters into it now, and busy outlining the sequel of the prior.

If you like space pirates, alien worlds, oppressive slimebags, honest folks, mystery, action, intrigue and bizarre happenings along with a decent helping of the unexpected and such, you might enjoy it. It has nothing to do with Battletech, though--I created an entirely new universe. Posted Image

THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT !

The forums were made for quality threads like this.

Thank you, Sir. Many lolz were had :D

Also:
"players will have never seen this amount of polish and bug fixing" - OMAIGAD does this mean the patch won't require an immediate hotfix ? Posted Image
(I jest, I jest and genuinely hope it's going to be good)

Bug fixes
Polish
Command Wheel
Re-scale and Re-quirck

Yep sounds like big things. Hopefully it all comes rather soon because I am getting bored with the majority of my matches are; Kodiaks, Jenner IICs, Jenner O, and Black Knights.

I am thrilled about the rescaling, the requirkening, the new map, the polish and bug fixes and new mechs. But please don't present any of it as news. We already knew about it. We celebrated it all long ago. Right now, I'm more concerned with what the next big project will be?

I'm worried that the lack of information about September-December is a sign that they've moved on to working on other games, leaving a skeleton crew to pump out new mechs and maybe work on PVE content that will eventually turn out to be coop-missions against waves of mechs, only accessible for players with Premium time.
