I've been running the targeting practice scenario, and can't seem to find any way to score a One-shot kill.
It sounds like it'd be self-explanatory, kill a mech with one shot, but even hitting something with an AC20 round to a Commando's cherry red CT or cockpit doesn't seem to count towards the goal.

Edit: Apparently they just weren't registering or something. After restarting and going back in, I got the OSKs pretty quick. Or maybe my EBJ is just better than the champion Cicada. Damn Clan tech...(grumble grumble).

Its mostly a lesson in targeting exposed components that can lead to the mechs destruction.

Its not particularly hard, its just training new players that they need to acquire target lock and focus damaged components.

had the same experience, didn't try to repeat after restarting though

it currently is broken, some weapons seem to not deliver one shots correctly even if you one shot kill.

I couldn't make it work in a Dragon, but with the FS9-S it worked fine. Though I had to use an air strike to get the long-range kill (500m)

i was able to get it with a NVA, 10ER-ML Build, you have to fire several Like weapons and kill a Mech in one Click,
i was able to do it firing my right arm 5ER-ML but not on another build with 2LPL + 2ER-ML, so its abit glitched,
