Okay, over the past week, I've seen a lot of frustrated pilots posting that they can't get the 150 Match Score, that their C-bill earnings are down, and that they don't understand how your results factor into the Match Score. I thought I would submit this video to help:

That video is of a boring, run-of-the-mill match. There's no spectacular damage or kill numbers in it. There aren't any fancy maneuvers or incredible stunts. It's just a normal, average-joe kind of a match. Yet, despite having less than 500 damage, only two kills, and a sub-par number of kill assists, I manage to pull out a match score of 336. The reason is because I farmed the rewards.

Case in point, look at the second results screen (recommend pausing the video). As you can see, there is now a scrolling window there that lists your Match Performance. Everything in that window counts towards your match score. For example, I acquired 10 Protected Mediums and 8 Protection Proximities. Those factor into that 336 match score and help raise it.

So, if you're having trouble getting the 150 or finding that your C-bills and XP are lacking, try accruing more of these Match Performance markers. Most of them are pretty easy to get just by sticking close to your group and fighting normally.

For a listing of all the markers, see St. Jobe's Guide here: http://mwomercs.com/...-get-xp-and-cb/

Edit: For those getting hung-up on the video and Mech:

1) This video was picked specifically because there was nothing extraordinary about it or the Mech. I didn't want people to get distracted by anything exciting or unusual, so I picked a bland example.

2) The video's sole purpose is to highlight the Match Score actions one can accomplish to boost their overall score. That's all. It's just supposed to help people who are having trouble getting a good match score. Don't read anything into it beyond that.

I did this event while grinding Mist Lynxes from 0/0 basics...and I only failed to get 150 score on two occasions.

I just did what I normally did, which involved shooting robbits and trying to kill robbits, while trying to prevent the red robbits from killing my own robbit.

I've been using a laser vomit based Grasshopper (3 ERLLs and 2 AMS) and it's been great so far. Just point and shoot, and try not to get hit. :P

Now, just "disarm" yourself. :P

You stay with the group, and you shoot at what they're shooting at.
Works like a charm.

I have a bad habit of breaking away from the team on most games or heading in a direction where I guess I can blindside the enemy. Sometimes it pays off sometimes it doesn't and it's a playstyle that's less consistent for earning 150+ points since you can run into unfavorable conditions while alone.

How to easily get a match score of 150:

Step 1: Play a Streak30 Stormcrow.
Step 2: Alpha 5 times to get the easiest 300 damage of your life.
Step 3: ???

Anyone need 'breathing' lessons?

1. Unhinge jaw
2. Open mouth
3. Breath through mouth
4. Exhale through mouth
5. Keep mouth open
6. Repeat steps 3 to 6

In certain circles, it is.

At the beginning of the Event i had a bad streak with a W/L of 0.5 or so - i was put against insurmountable Odds and i had even 1 match edning with a 45 matchscore.

After a while it normalized and i had 300 to 450 in a win and 200 to 300 in a loss.

Below 150 is total lack of gameplay experience or a matchmaking fail...

What is a match score? It's probably why I'm not a competitive player or payer. Keep hitting play, just keep hitting play.

Matchscore is the amont of Points you get at the end of the match - it is listed in the "Match End Screen".
It is now used to determine into what Tier you as a Pilot belong to.

dunno what to watch there, an ordinary stomp where you didn't pay the main role and where everybody could easily get 150 when their team was stomping

also a weird build, 90.9 km/h? (it's the speed of an elited enforcer with 255 engine) you could have 106.9 kmh or even more with that build easy with some jj and heatsinks... if you used std, enforcer is asymmetrical and has no reason to live if it loses that left torso anyway, enforcer is also xl friendly

50% of my games are not counted because assault lances are simply left behind and wiped out within 3 minutes. This usually results in a loss. 150 points can be a problem in PUGland.

Well, I didn't realise how terri-bad I am, but I have not been able to get a Matchscore higher than 100 in either the ® variant Enforcer, or the Panther.

But give me an Executioner (I) with a UAC 20 and 2 ER LL, and it seems easy....

Am I just dying too fast in the lighter mechs to rack up all the non-damage non-kill related bonuses? (Protection, Assist, TAG, whatever?)
