Just so every participant knows who comes here, I sent out an e-mail to all participants last night after the registration period closed. I am awaiting on your responses from that e-mail blast. The e-mail was sent to the e-mail address/account that your ticket was registered with. If you did not get that e-mail please let me know ASAP, because it is really important that I know this so it can be corrected.

FYI I got the emails, but it doesn't give me a email to respond back to. It's a 'do not reply' email via EventBrite.

Where are we supposed to send our answers?

if you hit "reply" the reply_to address should be a gmail.com address.
archaeology.am@

PS:

LOL
seriously though that email that pops up doesn't appear to be affiliated, I could be wrong of course. Just looking for clarification as I don't want to respond using an incorrect email address and never gets seen.

Hello everyone,

The email is the one that was used to formally establish the tournament through Eventbrite. So the e-mail that pops up when you hit reply, etc...is official as it is liked directly with the Eventbrite system as the primary e-mail address.

The other e-mail address is monitors.unit@gmail.com which is my units e-mail address and was used to handle questions regarding the tournament that were asked throughout this process and is also linked to Eventbrite as a secondary e-mail address. I wanted to make sure that the lines of communication were always open so if one e-mail adress failed the other would be there as well. :)

You can e-mail me the requested information there or at the other e-mail address. Both are official and have been verified by the Eventbrite system.

Currently I have heard back from 24 of the 44 participants. We now have ourselves a solid field of players. Again if you did not receive the e-mail please contact me ASAP so I can send it out to you. The e-mail should have arrived in your e-mail inbox that you used to register your ticket with. :)

The cap for the tournament was 100 people. We only got 44 to register to participate.

The confusion here is, you stated many times that "at least 100" was the goal and that you were 20, 19, 12, 10, 9, etc players away from that goal. No where was this 44 number used or any smaller number other than your goal for 100 and being XX amount of players away from that goal.

So why were you throwing the 100 number around and claiming you only needed X amount of people to register?

Part of all this confusion that we talked about, you're not being straightforward.

Everyone please take the time to review ALL of the available materials fully regarding this tournament. :)

I have heard back from 29 of 44 participants to date. If I don't hear from a participant by the second or third of October I will assume you are participating. :)

*I will send another e-mail blast on Friday as a friendly reminder. If you have already provided the information I have requested then no need to respond twice.

Additionally, I have a surprise for all participants of this tournament but I will not reveal this surprise until the full details come out on the 5th of October. I promise you will like it, if you don't then I guess you don't like premium time. Oops.

Also there was a question about needing premium time for this tournament. The answer is no, you will not.

If you know their forum account name, you should PM them. Much more effective than e-mail notification, methinks.

I have heard back ~33 to date and 4 of the ones I haven't heard from formally are in my unit so, we are technically at 37 out of 44. :)

Worst case I will go that route. Thanks for the suggestion.

This is pretty cool. Have you reached out to the CHM? I'm sure if you contact them they might support your cause, if you haven't done so already.

Is there a way to watch this live? Anybody streaming?

CHM = Children's Hospital of Michigan. The thing you're raising money for.

Oh I see, I didn't realize that was what was meant. :) The acronym I didn't really recognize. Sorry about that. Yes, back in early August before it was even announced here on MWO.

This event will be live streamed on twitch and I know that one participant will be recording as will I. So if you miss the tournament it will get onto youtube eventually. Full details will be provided in a google doc on October 5th, 2015. [I will post the link here.]

Hello everyone!

It is time to get reinvigorated!

On October 5th, 2015 a full schedule/timeline and bracket will be released. The scheduling will be somewhat different than what people expect because of the different timezones, but I promise it will work. Also by coming out on the 5th participants can let me know if that absolutely won't work with their schedule giving plenty of time for some easy participant shifts. :)

And I think we need to reinvigorate this thread too! What do you all say?? Well I hope good things.

So from this post here to tournament start date I would like as many people as possible to post things like...I am excited for the tournament or lets help the children or honestly, whatever you want that will inspire people to help donate to this worthy cause.

Game on and lets have a great tournament!!!

Hope you have a good turnout. I might watch. Who are we all rooting for?

I will claim the title and crush all beneath me for the name of charity, or be crushed in the process! Either way, HUZZAH!
