If you register and you have a time constraint, I am more than willing to work with people on this matter. Within reason of course.

Please remember that the schedule is tentative until October.

Trail mechs can be utilized during the tournament. They may not be ideal but that shouldn't be a deterrent. Our unit duels quite often in 1 .v. 1 battles and we use trial mechs in many of them. Sometimes the trials are better. Not necessarily heat efficient, but still.

We cap at 200. But we need to 50 more to meet the minimum threshold.

Anyways, you should post it to the subreddit for more exposure.

You will be notified will in advance as to what mechs you should prepare for your duels.
Does this mean matches will be either 1) A set chassis class e.g. Medium/Heavy OR 2) A variant selected at random by the organiser.
Question 2: Does this also mean that both competitors will play with the same variant?
Just to clarify.

No you will not be require to play in the same variant or mech of that class.
So for example, "if your duel is set as a IS heavy chassis class; then you and your opponent can fight in any available Heavy IS mech you may have." For this example the duel scenario may be between an Orion and a Thunderbolt or a Dragon and a Catapult. It depends on what you have and which mech in your bays you would want to use for that duel.
As a Note:
I would have liked to do variants of the same mech and chassis but that would be quite extreme because not everyone is going to have the same mechs, etc...and I don't expect anyone to use their hard earned c-bills or MC on mechs they don't really want. So brush up on your mechs and choose wisely when the time comes.

So I have though about this and unofficially/officially this is how it will break down. If and when we meet our minimum threshold of registered participants (we need 47 more FYI.

I am glad to see the enthusiasm! Yep only 47 more registered participants needed and then let the matchmaking begin!
