Have the competitors go to a set grid area and force them to stay inside or get disqualified. Make it 2x2, 2x3, or 3x3 grid squares and make it clear to everyone that ypu can only fight in those grids and that leaving those grids once combat ensues loses the match for you.

I am sorry but I am not setting grids at this point. This would be extremely difficult to monitor/referee without opening the battle-grid in spectator mode, which would provide major tactical advantages to the combatants. Additionally the tournament begins in 14 hours and it would be extremely unfair to change the tournaments parameters at this point and time. I will not be changing the rule parameters for the tournament at this point. Participants will have the entire map to duel it out on.

Also I would like to know how we prevent on these maps abuse of the draw-but-most-damage rule. I can imagine someone picks a Locust with an ER LL and then just runs away after he hit the enemy once.

These are one-on-one duels between combatants. You both can pick locusts or ravens and snipe at each other for the duels. I will monitor this, but I have found that once you find your opponent it is extremely difficult to shake them. If it appears that during the light duels that people are abusing the "sniping and then powering down" tactic than I will address it, but until that time comes...be good sports. :)

The maps will be randomized, the alpha lance drop zone is going to be used. This allows participants to review the maps ahead of time to figure out exactly where their opponent will be dropping.

NGNG teamspeak rooms is a go. We can even make the rooms password protected, not sure if that will be necessary, up to you. Just post here or PM what you'd like the password to be. I'll meet with him later to get it setup, then i'll post the information here.

Anyone know any information about this?? We are 13 hours out now from the tournament starting and some information would be great. :)

Heard back from Solahma about the teamspeak.

Here is the info: voip01.n1585.hypernia.net:9992 and if you need a password: battletech (I was told this)

I logged on by going to http://www.nogutsnog...forum/index.php and then I clicked on the TeamSpeak Icon in the upper left hand corner of the page and it took me right there.

There is:

1) The main "Compete for the Cure" channel/lobby [Freely talk about what you want]
2) The waiting room [Participants can talk about what they want]
3) Sync [Combatants of that duel only, please]
4) Don't Come in here Room (Admin) [I guess me??]

I would like to thank Solahma and NGNG for putting this together for us.

*Please feel free to correct any information on here. Thanks. I am not an avid TeamSpeak user. As another note I will not be monitoring this channel for any cheating, giving away information, etc...The channel is not password protected and I am not an admin so I can't really stop people from doing anything.

I will be answering question starting tomorrow at 7:30 am EST. You can ask me anything, within reason. I will be taking questions from posts on the twitch feed and on the teamspeak channel on NGNG. (If I can get it to work without echo and a whole bunch of other things that I don't know if I am going to have time to complete before tomorrow.)

I will be running another test of the twitch channel feeds tonight around 9:00pm EST.

Yeah first games are at humane times. Just take a look @ those times when we get to our second matches
Nevermind actually, but still point stands. If you get to finals, your life is done
Don't mind me if I got something wrong, I'm a dingus when it comes to timezones

My right arm is stronger than my left arm. ;)
Once the Dragon loses that fun gun it's going to have a hard time.
