Balance? That's just lady luck. I can see the score jumping up 10 points for dying or living... but to base it off of how long you were in the game. Was this contest supposed to be some sort of relay race? Not based off of skill but to see how quickly you could finish a match. For example: My other match 18+20+64+30+35+42-2=207 You can look at both of the scoreboards and clearly tell which one I put more effort into, but they are only so close because of the 35+. My best score was 213. Am I losing my mind? Should I rearrange my eyeballs because there's something I missed?
F8, relax, the reason why I put in that basing it off how long one plays a match was to limit those who would stay back in a match and then clean up and do well, as in, getting 8 kills.
Let's do an example of that situation, with 8 kills. After that match ends, you got 8 kills, 600 damage, and 15 Component destructions.
so 6(8) + 4(0) + (600/14) + 30 + 7(15) = ~225.86
Is that fair? Considering the player that stood back and did nothing gets the most out of components and kills, along with the damage?
the components in this scenario are 105. That's half of your current scores F8, and overall it's even more than yours F8.
So that's why there was a +35 and a -35. If you finished <6:00 minutes, most of the time the games you play you don't get much usually because your team does so well.
Even Mcgral stated in one of his entries in a game he did well in that his teammates were too, and thus he couldn't get the kills he wanted.
That's why it's there, that's why there's a time bonus/penalty, to help players who do well in long games be balanced against those with short games and lesser scores.
