^ This.

Was kinda annoyed to wake up this morning after spending hours cockblocking Marik and Liao on two different accounts only to find that Liao had ghost dropped their way to free MC in the Oceanic ceasefire.

100 MC per ceasefire in a 24 hour period makes more sense.

We need to get out of 3 total ceasefires. Make it an average over 24 hours, not whoever wins the last X matches every 8 hours which is what we have now.

I for one think its a step in the right direction. More lore based events for those that dig that stuff. If this happens on a regular basis it could help keep players engaged over planets.

My first thought when I saw the event was, "these are two core ideas Kin3ticX put out there a few weeks ago." I think they heard you. Good work, man.

Is mechs do faster pinpoint damage, so you can kill enemies faster without hosing those lasers all over the mech. With is I can perform as well as in clan, but with the longer burn of clan lasers you spread damage more easily when enemies twist n shout. Also lot of players start with is mechs and gradually get also clan mechs, in consequence they already know how to point n shoot when stomping in the dark side.

I find it a bit difficult to understand your point. You believe that the results I describe are attributed to skill and not due to hardware advantage;

It is a small step in a right direction, but CW needs a massiv rework to make it attractive.

Gosh! We abandoned the 24 system so people not in the NA timezones can have relevant cw matches. Now you even imply to abandon slots.

Whole point is to remove slots all together. If you're on Oceanic or European your matches are relevant measured against NA timezone. Total wins over 24 hours; the problem before was that only the last hour leading up to Ceasefire mattered. You wrack up a pile of wins on Oceanic they count against whatever wins NA gets, and vice versa.

The problem right now is that with this current system you can dominate in Oceanic and have all your success wiped out by NA for example. Just make it a running total of wins over 24 hours. Have the 24 hour ceasefire mark change every Tuesday if you want. Doesn't matter, because there is no 'crunch time'. Every win counts.

Right now they don't. All that matters is the last 60-90 minutes of a ceasefire in the timezone your faction has the most players in.

Russ said they made it short ON PURPOSE to keep people from swapping. Stay with your faction and wait for your own event. I am sure they would like to do more of these for the lower population factions to attract more people to them.

That is not the case and the whole post is too contradictory. Try to figure out the real system we have right now or become the architect of a new system, but I'm not wasting my time on this.

I still think the rewards are weaksauce (mainly the 300MC one for Liao).

Will give credit where credit is due. 300MC for one planet is a fine prize. (especially if they do this often.)

Just wanted to say this new Comstar transmission thing is awesome. I had let our faction membership expire (I don't CW much) but joined Liao when I saw the notice the other day. Dropped in 3 attacks that night and managed a victory on the 3rd one.

My only regret is that apparently we can't switch factions immediately to join the Kurita one that started today, but that's ok. The Liao membership is just for 7 days.

I like it. I would like it more if I could switch factions without a cool down period to participate in either Liao or Marik for the reward.

Boy, as if faction hopping wasn't bad enough as it is, that'd just hose it.

Also, you're up for Davion to pick on next.

If there is no warning, and it isn't sequential.. faction switching wouldn't help anyone.

Therte are lots of Mariks, the queue was pretty full too today... and then the reaping began.
Waves of Marik solos we're cut to ribbons by good 12 man groups...

and the queue went empty pretty damn fast....

That still sounds like a Marik problem to me, PGI adds LFG and the ability to create units/join units. Marik CW consists of one 12 man maybe and the rest all solo que pugs. Not just that but Marik solo que pugs, likely the worst pugs you could ever go up against and I say that as a ex-Marik. A group of 12 individuals is never likely going to beat a 12 man of pilots working together so the Marik pugs lose, lose and lose and rage quit.

There problem is there factions inability to properly advertise to there pugs to join a unit and that has ALWAYS been a Marik problem even before CW. Marik units has always had population problems besides for maybe MGA and one other unit. Blaming PGI for your factions inability to play CW effectively is not going to solve your problems. Wrangling up the remainder of your solo pugs and getting them into units before they rage quit maybe will.
