so IS can drop with 260 tons and we get 240 tons, so now it makes it even harder and its not fair , as IS have more choice of mechs with extra tonnage, if this continues a lot of clans are gonna quit playing CW or even quit playing clan , or just quit all together, so who are you gonna fight ? and CW will die i am getting sick and tired of the crazy stuff that pgi are doing to mech warrior.

It should be about as hard as the Marik vs. Wolves fight was.

That is, 260 tons = bigger salvage bonuses.

next stealth nerf revealed: clan'mechs are only allowed to fire one lazer at a time.

This nerf was sponsored by the "give terribad IS loadouts a chance" campaign.

lmao at people complaining about IS getting too much tonnage.

Tonnage ceased being relevant when the Cheetah came out. The only thing that's relevant for CW tonnage for Clans anymore is the damn tonnage floor for people who have the ACH-C and could bring four of them.

Neg, I would like 260 tons. I could bring a Warhawk, some Ebon Jaguars and maybe a Timberwolf. I have Adders and Stormcrows also.

Well, clans have nothing to worry about. Just played two CW matches. One was PUG vs PUG. 1/2 the team could not break 800 damage, most were sub 600. Tonnage not helping.

Off to play two more losses. At least I'll get a mech bay out of this.

Haha yeah, that twenty tons is really going to screw the Clans over, guys.

*looks at planet map and sees that with 8 nodes being contested constantly for the last hour, Davion still can't take one*

There is talk of keeping the 260 ton for IS. If you do you had better bump up Clan to. If not you will find alot of clan players quiting. We are nerfed as it is. And if they don't quit they will only drop pub. You keep nerfing clain to the point that many are thinking about quitting the game. And go elseware to spend there money. And yes we are getting closer to Teara. Due to skill, we don't have thunder wups that can fire laser spam forever and never over heat. We don't get even half the perks, but yet we move closer. Huuuuuummmmm could it just be skilled players? So to make sure they don't, lets bump IS tons up to 260, and give the clains cork guns with no ton bump. Its getting pittiful.. AND NOT FUN! AND Not fun means players moving on! Moving on means less money to go around, less money to go around means sooner or latter NO PAY CHECK!

PS> So if you get to keep your 260 tons, WHO you going to fight in CW if clans refuse to drop? Each other ??......

Their is alot of rumblings inthe clains, if they keep the 260 and clan gets nothing, many will just quit, we have been nerfed enough. Yes we may be able to pull off a win on a pug group. But a full unit is a another thing. WAY to lop sided. Is the IS side so unskilled that they need to have a 260 ton drops to win? Is that the only way they can keep us from TERA? Your Wups that never over heat not enough? This is all starting to get sickning.

From the looks of the map if the Clanners exit stage left, CW will fold like a $5 suit. FRR looks like they are almost gone.

Some really fun fights so far tonight, gotta say I'm enjoying this event, whatever the result.

Paul I hope you keep doing these, and continue to expand on the scope. It's getting guys into CW that haven't played it in a long, long time.

It's actually meant to be part of the CW mini-challenge that will be announced later today. I just changed it now to test to make sure the values carried over. Depending on how it performs.. who knows.. maybe we will leave it this way. Otherwise.. plan to see it revert back at 3PM tomorrow (Saturday)

G'day

Am unwilling to deflect or derail from the topic, but It's nice to see someone from the development team active on the forums. Seems to be much too infrequent of late. Unfortunately, clients have ditched CW and are probably heading south from MWO in general. Personally, I think that PGI needs to ditch the "World of Tanks playbook" and come up with something novel and original. Current modes of play are getting stale and boring. You do need to do something and you do have a rich Battletech lore to fall back upon!

Lets try a different tack. How about registering each player owned mech to a faction? Those not registered to factions are lone wolfs and are considered "Outer Rim" mechs. Create a training server pool with these. Then pick these and participants in the regular single and group matches by their mechs factional allegiance and let these contests count against the galaxy map used in Community Warfare. Something neat and simple to put everything on the same page and largely use the existing structures. That is, everything is reflected upon the CW map. Scale the returns. Something like - 25% for Lone Wolf - Outer Rim = training server, 50% for Single participant clients, 75% for Group participant clients and 100% for the existing Community Warfare mode of play.

Again, am apologetic for deflecting from the 260 tonne thread, but I thought I'd raise a fairly simple change as this while we have the ear of PGI staff member in the forum.

Regards,
Draughluin

It would be funny if they allowed this but banned stalkers and thunderbolts. I'd like to see how people would adapt to that.

Wouldn't affect me at all. But at 260, I'm totally running triple Zeus plus locust tonight after work. ;)

The bad thing is, you can not put trial mechs multiple times in your dropdeck. Too many people picked trial Victors which are useless due to XL engine and not more Thunderbolts.

On the other hand, is there a chance we even get lower limits on single planets? Like for example on an outcast barren planet you get a limit of 160 and can only drop in lights and mediums?
