i have a feeling it will start with "what is your major malfunction ghost bear?"

Been more ghost than bear in CW.
I am liking these little opportunistic events and get the sense that it's feeling out how bonuses for planets could work and how it might interact with the scouting missions providing a lead in to the invasion.
The added effect here is also concentrating the population into specific conflicts. At present there are still far too may options on both attack and defend and most of these conflicts do not relate to the faction you belong to.
I would really like to see a streamlined list where I only see the conflicts that my faction is directly involved in.
Will be watching closely to see how it develops.

It would be nicer if they were announced not on the day they start but a day earlier, so we could muster our forces properly..

It will be so much fun to have a clear mission, obvious target, and get richly rewarded for the effort.. all coupled with immersive orders from the Khan..

they didn't even bother to announce the fail of davions and jaguars

I feel like PGI need to create a script that auto-posts the outcomes rather than do it manually.. ..otherwise this will probably happen more often than not.

Well it would only be embarrassing if they were the only ones who failed.
Almost everyone has failed so far. Liao is kind of an anomaly given they fought another IS faction therefore faced less defenders (only defenders from 1 faction).

Sorta mini-events.

They also only won in Oceanic time (lowest pop time for all factions) due to ghost drops, so there's that.

But what do the defenders get for preventing the attacking faction from succeeding?
What is there to motivate me as Clan Wolf from stepping up to defend a Wolf planet from the current Ghost Bear Comstar Intercept attack operation if our current focus is against the Inner Sphere?
Why should I even bother wasting my valuable time concentrating on countering this Ghost Bear attack if Clan Wolf as a faction gets nothing for doing so?

I like that there was no warning ahead of time, keeps people from switching factions just for the event.
Look at how many actual teams were actually defending on the event planets - especially contrasted with normal times when teams tend to attack, or even contrasted with previous events where teams changed factions before the events started (although virtually everyone else did as well).
This setup actually provides benefits for faction loyalists without royally screwing them over. It's a small benefit and they're still slightly screwed over, but still...

liao won when tcaf got from work... tcaf is a russian unit and so they are from utc+3 (moscow) to utc+10 (vladivostok) and more

It'd be great if they even remotely played along the the universe as it is depicted.
I'm not a lore player, but I'm trying to figure out how this artificial economy helps CW in the long run.

Some elaboration on the call to arms and/or faction chat.
The incentives are on the attacking side which makes sense.
Having a reward as a defender would be nice but given the short nature of the conflict and that they are reacting to the invasion, it should take a different format. Perhaps as a bonus in salvaged items at the end of each match if successful?
It is interesting to see the different incentives as well.
C-bills
MC
C-bills and an additional planet.
Feels like there is scope for a lot of options and what we are going through now is testing those waters.
Hopefully this means we will soon see an update regarding the next phase of CW.
