Maybe a little jumpship that moves around the map as well.

I'm glad other people know about these maps. I use them a lot in tabletop campaign games.

Something more fitting the Mechwarrior and Battletech would be better. Mass Effect is a very good game (so many memories) with awesome soundtrack, but I can't hear the same theme in BT. It just isn't right. There should be some kind of music played in the background, though.

I remember this one time I showed a kid the map of the Inner Sphere and he asked "where's earth?" and I pointed at our star system, "Well that's where all our planets are."
The look on his face was priceless and also one of the many reasons why I love this Universe.

Yeah, the canon of jump paths being laid out in 2D kind of makes it a pain to lay them out in 3D. However, now that someone has played the Mass Effect galaxy map music for me, I must have this feature. PGI, give me a Mass Effect galaxy map nowwwww!

The one from the 1st, or 2nd one?

Ruins of Gabriel in Lyran Comm. which turned out to be a shipyard in the Odessa system, and Jardine in the Free Worlds League aka Heraxleion making Cybernetics. Geee.. those would be a couple of nice rocks to turn over and locate huh?
They know that Jardine/Heraxleion lies smack in the middle of the jump route from Ideylde to Rexburg, folks just go zipping right on by near the speed of C and never see it.
If I were in the universe, I would be a Merc w a special long term mission of finding the other 3, Mayadi, Obeedah & Taussen. Even though the one in the Drac Combine is rumored to have been destroyed long ago, (better not be the Mech plant).
I would contract to fight for anyone taking me near suspected locations. Bet at least one makes Mechs, how about the other two, maybe Aero & Ground based weapon systems???
GET INNN MY BELLLY!
Be nice to see this stuff enter a future release as computers advance & Devs move towards a truly persistant Uni for us to tool around in. I'll just hold my breath another 5 years or so.
Nice little side missions like this would be fun for all...until I find them! So Comstar thinks they run the HPG do they,,,Ha.
