honestly i don't see how it's that different from banshee 3e...

It's different from the Banshee 3E because the Banshee has all 4 ballistic slots in one torso. The Banshee can't fit 4 AC/5s or UAC5s, 2 AC/20s or 2 gauss rifles. The Mauler will be able to run more loadouts. It's a lot more similar to the King Crab.

I think it will be better than the King Crab because the torso mounted ballistics will be closer together and not so far apart that you're firing them from opposite sides of the map.

If they don't fix the missile pods before the release that thing is going to be a bust. Someone made massive blowup of them with large black space surrounding the missile. Those will be the easiest Left torso and Right torso destruction points since the square RA and LA of the Catapult. Buyers of XL eng. should be worried.

So funny:

The income model of PGI is already very, VERY soft.
No monthly fee, no pay to win, everything is completely free in the end.
You ONLY have to pay for impatience and bragging.

Yet people will complain about every tiniest detail of money making and want it softened even further until everything in the game is free (and PGI bankrupt and therefore the game dead). That's how "everything for free"-mentality-people's minds work.
Cheers!

Their income model coupled with how they run the game has resulted in horrible player retention, so there's more than one thing to criticize it for.

I'm pretty sure PGI sticks to their business model solely because they have whale customers who will always buy everything from golden mechs to all the top-tier packages, which are some of the most expensive non-rare virtual merchandises I have ever seen in a game (sans say, EVE online ships.) In any case, so long as they can retain those customers, it doesn't really matter what happens to most of us.

You simplify things. A friend of mine who I played MWO with had to save money for couple of months for that GTA V. Another IRL friend doesn't have the money to get P4 and won't have cus his parents are poor and he actually has to pay rent and eat and stuff like that, you know, living. He can't spend tires for offroading and can't even afford to rent an offroad. I don't know your social class but that sounds like suburbia daddy buys stuff.

Majority of students don't ask money from their parents to get mechs in MWO. They ask it for living. And it's not 10-20 dollars. It's $55 for Timber Wolf in a la carte.

Lol, "suburbia daddy buys stuff"

How about "has worked their way up enough to now have disposable income". Now I'm not rich or anything either, and I hate to say it but if you are too broke ass to pay for your video games, then maybe you should be spending less time playing video games and more time investing in your future.

The target market isn't jobless teenagers or college students though they are welcome to play too since the majority of stuff in the game can be obtained for free

So yea, sorry to your buddies who have to wait a little longer for the free version, but I see no problem with those of us who aren't in school still being able pay our $$ and get what we want :D

Because it is arguably the headliner of the resistance 2 pack, and the longer it is not out for cbills the more chance of people spending $.

Not unreasonable, and it's not as though there arent 230498348151523 other mechs for people to get at this point.

I don't think it's arguable at all, it is the headliner for the pack. The rest are all laser vomit mechs, as if we don't see enough of that on the field as it is.

Once again a guy shouting to a conversation without knowing what it's about. It's ok, at this age and time its hard. As well as understanding the value of money it seems.
