Just a bit much to pit one faction vs the sum total of all Clan players.

We were all out yesterday, shortly after the comstar starting it. We had always 2-4 full 12 man teams out, most of them on winning streak at least 8 of 10 matches. later we got also 4 Teams (maybe KCom ? - and they also surely not have lost a single one.)
So estimated 34 of 40 won matches (PGI you have the exact numbers have a look at these, and show em up!), but we mostly get stalled at 30% before the ceasefire startet. That only through many Ghost Drops the defenders got (36-48 Rasalhagues vs. 60-80 up to 99+ Clanners as General UGLee reported). If the Jade Falcon would be all alone they would have been smashed fully. Yust the core numbers of all Clanners on defend, and their gettin these Ghost defenses, made them defend their planet.
By the way - it looked like Ghost Bear not really attacked the Wolfs - but they were also on defending the Falcons against our brave Viking-Pirates. (got a report Wolfs let the Ghost Bears have the planet)

Yes and then this today, as we tried with some half organised Attacks (were we won 3 of 4) with puggers, Max was in good shape. But again Ghost dropping defends. No Chance for a single Faction at times wer most Americans are on work.
Then after this ceasefire, all looked as normal, no contracts available for Hermagor

Gave nearly up, but after some hours i realised, it somehow got on...
Next Attack phase (Midday and afternoon till early american evening) we again came up to mid 30% but again Ghost dropping drawed us back.
Full respect for all these hard and long fighting Vikings which never gove up! (Which just got stalled by not-fighting All-Clanners)

The idea behind the FRR event and the others so far has merit. It is supposed to be designed for flavor and color yet it is horribly flawed. I was on all last night and missed the cycle today since it is work time for me. During last night as a drop commander we could take spaces and win more then we lost but that did not matter with at times nearly double the clanners dropping in ghost drops. So even though I would really love a mauler I WILL NOT spend another dime with PGI for a Beta game. Perhaps instead of new mechs you can fix things. I realize that new mechs make ya money but it the long run a broken game will lose you players!
I hope when the Steiners event arrives [which should be next] They completely ignore attacking and go help someone on defense.
We In the FRR earned our reward yet will not get it since we fought many times our numbers.
When even clanners themselves in these very forums note the UNfairness of fighting all 4 of the clans there is something wrong.

Much like life really.
So +1 for making CW a bleak metaphor on human existence, but -1 for setting attainable goals.
Nevertheless, here I am logging in for more. C'est la vie.

I am sorry for my poor performance. I will keep on fighting for the FRR hoping to improve my ability.

I concur with General Uglee. I am growing tired of constant balancing in favor of Clans from the game developers. This has been the worst up to date that I have witnessed. Last night the unit I play with had a meeting and more than 20 members where online at the same time. If we had known of this event you can bet there would have been 2 attack groups on Hermagor constantly for a few hours. We would have taken the planet easily since most of the drops encountered last night where mixed and uncoordinated and all the members of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) are elite players.
Since there are so many players using Clan mechs the number of members from Clans are overwhelming against the Inner Sphere dwindling number of pilots. Thus the secret for Clans to gain planets are ghost drops. They get two ghost drops while we play a full match over the planet thus when we get out of the match victorious we are actually behind due to the 2 wins because of the ghost drops.
A second big point that I am becoming tired is that the game developers are not considering the Age group of their target audience. The main supporters and financial benefactors of the development of this game are not the teenagers from 12 years of age to college students of 20 something years of age. The main benefactors, and the ones that gave the financial root for this game as it kick-started, are those of us who have played the Mechwarrior games since Activision released it in 1989 or so. As you can easily calculate we are older than most and make a living working. Not only average jobs but high end jobs full of stress and worries. We get home wanting to share some time with ONLINE friends that may be 20 years old or more of friendship playing Mechwarrior and to kill some enemy mechs too. A challenge like this one in a weekday, without proper announcement, will only discredit the Inner Sphere and push more pilots to the Clans. The Developers should remember who made the financial capital to even start this game and consider making the challenges and other activities like this one on days where ALL players may be available to fight.
The third point is a guy named Ross Bullock or something of the sort, don't know him and don't really care to know him. This developer rants against Inner Sphere mechs whenever he gets his ass handed on a match while piloting his Omnimech. His comments over tweeter about how some Inner Sphere mech needs to be nerfed because it is still overpowered are a bit much for my patience. Which is probably why the Blackjack 1DC will never see the AC5 quirk ever again, a good pilot could take this fragile mech with limited ammo and totally wreck a Dire Wolf or two. The inner sphere won Tukayiid in the Lore because of this, GOOD pilots and nimble fragile mechs with good constant firepower. The developers should get involved more with the community of leagues that have more years than most of your programmers. The experience that these leagues have accumulated is priceless and many of them have many concepts that could be integrated into the Community Warfare project. Little things like: all the information from each planet in the STARMAP from the NBT league or different restrictions of weapons and mechs. Well rambled enough and the developers don't really read this thread, so its pointless to keep writing. Now if i had 16 years and bought a Clan Invasion pack they would listen to me and abide to my every wish. Crud! what a life.

If nothing else completely disable ghost drops during events like this.

If a faction wants to desert and not defend worlds.
CW matchmaking should work much more simply. The PGI overlords designate the attack corridors. If your faction is attacked, and you are in CW you will either drop on the world being attacked to defend it or along your attack corridor forcing an enemy team to defend. If you were there first, your drop commander can choose between an eligible attack or defense. If you are there after next possible opponent, you don't get to choose. Only intel you should get is if there are teams in a faction at all for CW (so are there Fed Suns, CC etc) other than that. Nothing.
Then ONLY real games decide worlds and having a GIANT team like some of the teams here, would do you no good. You would flock to other teams so you could actually play. Rather than this giant EPEEN sideshow of "look we can ghost drop a world and get our unit name on it" Who cares when you only fought half or less of the potential battles. You proved you are a giant unit. Nothing more.
CW isn't just a graveyard. Its crap. The whole premise is screwed up. The maps are still giant firing ranges that cater to long range alpha's. Matchmaker games are more entertaining. BLAH!

The solution to protect small factions from the larger ones (double sector drops) makes it that much harder for the smaller factions to gain ground also. Solution = fail and not incidentally is one of the reasons why CW population is so low.
Good show FRR and I hope PGI is learning something from all of this.

I like how there's ZERO word from the devs on this, if it wasn't for the constant been ours. The numbers show it, but more clan pandering as always, I concur with ulgy we should get the prize DID beat tem, they just managed to exploit numbers of ghost drop us.

It's just ******* annoying to get stuck into endless row of defends in same map that you just have conquered.

we attacked the clans and fought them on their territory.... ok we didn't won Marcus (I really don't know why but we where near 50%) that's th only way we could have helped the FRR.
Ghost drops are ok because if there aren'T ghost drops to free territories or get territory then not defending (i look at the Davions) would be the best way to defend. Look at this example.
FR nigh after the ceasefire a EU group drops in the first 2-3 hours (01 to 03 am, happens some time even for me as a family father) and gets ea good lead and 53% of the planet fell to us. The first US Players show and we go to bed, they can not drop and the planet stays at 53% because no organized group of our faction drops there. Because of 3 hours dropping we won the planet and the whole US players can't take it back because ghostdropping is not allowed.... do you really want it this way?
whole IS and Clans should not be allowed to defend any IS/Clan planet... only Mercs should be allowed to defend every planet on their side of the table. But this means to reorganize CW .

(at the time this was posted I am currently aligned under "Clan Wolf", granted my fave 2 factions is FRR and CGB, however i consider myself more of a lonewolf as I like both factions tech and lore quite well. Tired of topics that seem to revolve around what the weird picture on the left is and to prevent confusion.)
FRR has always been my fave.
