Thanks PGI for looking at this. It's a step in the right direction.

Any aimless shuffling in place is bound to result in some such steps in the 'right direction'.

I'd like to see some evidence that they care about fixing or improving major game features like the heat system, critical system, weapon balance and convergence, sensor warfare. . . or adding any actual functional improvements to the game like salvage, reasons to hold planets, faction campaigns. . . etc. Nothing changes because they lack creative direction and a will to make real changes. Everything's completely mired in this kind of pointless xml twiddling.

Because the gameplay has been fixed and the design has been corrected, this was the last improvement needed to make CW into the feature that was needed. I'm so glad they mustered their resources to address this final capstone work!

Still no option for smaller groups/soloers to participate in CW other than being farm fodder for units and 12-man-required play.

Thanks for giving the farmers a bit more in C-bills...but it utterly avoids the problem.

A game with the only mode being "go big or get farmed". The legions of potential CW players have already mostly wised up and are back in non-CW solo queue. This changes nothing.

Still not worth the time required for a match. As a Pug (albeit, one that actually tries to use the In-game Comms to coordinate in CW), I lose more matches than I win in CW. Combine it with the fact that none of my favorite Clan Chassis are allowed in CW, due to being "TerriBad, and you should feel bad for using it" (in other words, not a Timberwolf, Hellbringer, Stormcrow, or Arctic Cheetah), and CW is just a very bad place to play enjoyable games.

So thanks, but I'm going to stick with the Random Drops for now.

Coming from a returning player coming back after a long break (break started before the clans and FW was released) I must say, that as other users have stated there is very little reason, if any for me to queue for FW. Getting stomped every time by premades is never fun, I know I could join a clan but I dont have time and that would just be furthering the problem for others. Perhaps, as you do for the normal queues have two separate groups. One for those that queue solo and one for those that queue as a premade rather than just increasing the rewards in the hope it will attract people. I can still make far more C-bills and XP in the normal queues.

That's topped off by the fact that you have to win to get those rewards. Quick, ask me how many CW matches I've won, out of how many I've played total. Hint: It's less than 10%. Spoiler: I don't belong to a large unit.

Great to see that every faction now gets the same amount of Cbills.

I say let the market decide the price, just like in RL. As to "Is CW worth as a PUG?", I say the challenge is to defeat the big units. My approach is to ask players to join us on teamspeak and then join our in game group. As the night progresses and the group grows, so does our success rate. I do agree we lose more than we win, but given time we can usually figure out a winning strategy. Obviously this game, and CW in particular, is geared towards group play. Winning against a big outfit is all the sweeter. I guess its all about what you want from the game.
