Citizens of the Commonwealth, I bring to you grim news!

Posted Image

Gaze upon the mark inscribed upon the upper left thigh! The noble mark of House Steiner?! Inscribed upon a mech of a measly 25 tons?!

DO NOT LET THIS AFRONT TO THE PRIDE OF STEINER STAND. WRITE TO YOUR REPERSENTATIVE IN THE ESTATES GENERAL, AND DEMAND THIS STAIN UPON THE HONOR OF STEINER BE BLOTED OUT.

STEINERS SCOUT IN ATLAS MECHS

Paid for by a concerned citizen in no way affliated with the Lyran Commonwealth/Alliacne, the Federated Suns, or anyother former member of the Star Leauge.

What's the mark on right torso, Steiner's "I Love Mom" tattoo?

Honestly? It looks like a fly with the number 10 in a sky blue diamond.

10th flyweight division?

Looks like the mark on the right torso is a number 10 and a bee or a fly with a sad face.
So perhaps the Sad 10th Flies? Or maybe the 10th Sad Fly? ;)

The Rainbow in a triangle tat is missing if it is truly a Steiner Mech

First of all, House Steiner don't Scout in Atlas, they scout in Griffin's.
Even the Throne in Thakard is protected by two all Black Griffins !

Secound: The Commando is OVERWEIGHT with it's 25 tons. It should have been 20 Tons, so a Atlas could use it as Infantry attachment and could carry it into Battle. ( Carry capacity of an Atlas is 20 Tons.)

Thrid: Obviously the Commando is a Armored Taxis for the Mech pilot to get swiftly from Home to his Military base where he got the Zeus or Atlas parked.

Well . . . rant is a tad off since that is the AFFC emblem . . . not the LCAF emblem?

As for the throne on Tharkad . . . what it is protected with varies, but for a long time yes it had Griffins.

It seems to me that anything near the throne would be something a bit faster, like the Griffin. However, I imagine that there are Atlases at hand to stop the enemy before they get to the Griffins.

The Griffin has not yet been announced yet, so I had to work with what I had.

Nothing to panic over someone is just giving their kids new toy a quick test run before giving it to them. You have to be sure you put it together right before you hand off something like that to a 4 year old. Once they get the hang of a cute little thing like that they can borrow the keys to the Atlas.

10th Flying Mudkip fighting division?

It is obvious that this is Steiner's standard punishment for those who failed their commanders and are deemed as no-good cannon-fodder.
Their only chance to redeem themselves is to survive enough harsh engagements with astonishing results to justify their return to serve under merit.

Or the pilot got caught with a social general's wife in a compromising position, and this is his punishment.

Billiant idea that. Lets give people with no military expirence high ranking slots in the command chain.

Commando is a Steiner mech if I remember, similar to the Awesome being a Marik one. But yes, I get the idea of all assault mechs for the Commonwealth. Gotta have something to make up for our crappy military commanders. Go Gray Death Legion!

The Commando was developed by Steiner. If anything, you guys should be upset about the emblems of the AFFC and the 10th Lyran Regulars on there. That unit sided with Davion in the FedCom Civil War.

I'm working on a similar one for the Cataphract for the Clan boards. The Cataphract as the Wolf's Dragoon's (and by extension Clan Wolf's) logo on the inside of the left arm with an X through it, along with the phrase "No wolves, no problem."
