Pretty sure he talked about the bounty hunter before he even mentioned the warhammer. COuld be wrong, waiting on the broadcast to be loaded.

I meant that person you quoted on this forum, not Russ in the townhall meeting.

Clalling it now, the Warhammer Hero is going to be Natasha Kerensky's "The Widowmaker".

Do you SEE that ballistic mount?

Get a Marauder with 2B in the right torso and you can say hello to the new king of Sphere heavyweight ridge-sniping. Dual AC/5s all day erry day.

No way, gauss or go home. I just hope the arm mounts aren't stupidly low. The Bounty Hunter version should mount jumpjets-- should be fun.

Not exactly how I pictured how it would look but I'll take any Marauder in MWO over none...

I think I just went back 28 years...suddenly It's Verthandi, and I'm fighting to escape University Tower with Lori, and I see it, the mech that killed my father, it will be MINE!

The Unseen are returning, it is time to re-read the Saga of the Grey Death Legion (again) (and for those who have never read it, you are missing something amazing). There is no mech higher on my 'most wanted' list, I know for many the Warhammer is Battletech, for me it has always been the Marauder. It has been so long, that I didn't even try to hope that this day would come. This is beyond big, Thank You PGI (and Catalyst for opening the door).

total {LT-MOB-25} block

WHAT IS THIS^

The LT-MOB-25 is the Mobile Long Tom Artillery vehicle. It's a piece of forum censorship that replaces all uses of a certain word that means a rooster or the action of readying the hammer on a firearm... Or well, a certain fleshy cylinder.

Yea claasic mechs like Marauder and Warhammer are money printers.I think sales from Phoenix program and Urbanmech should be high enough to have no doubt about it...

Russ teased on the Townhall that he was not going to show the WHM art... :(

From what he said, it gave me the impression that any other "Classic" mechs getting released will depend on how well the MAD sells.
Which shouldn't be hard, really. It's a frakkin' 75 ton mech with a high Ballistic like the Jags at the low price of 20$? Seems like a sure sale to me...

and if Harmony Gold gets pissy,

The new unseens from Catalyst are just money printers like Judge says.

How can this MAD not sell well enough?

Perhaps they detect a bit of pack fatigue from the players and also don't want to push the unseens too hard in case HG get a wasp up their ass. If that little stinger can stay where it belongs though, I absolutely guarantee the MAD will sell more than well enough to warrant PGI releasing their WHM.

The original owner is (literally) dead and gone. The new ownership was willing to deal with Sony. HG raised no stink over the TT Project Phoenix, which included redesigns of the Macross-based mechs. Russ has flat out stated that his, and thus PGI's, position is that these are all new mechanical designs and that the names and loadouts themselves are a part of the Mechwarrior/Battletech property, and thus legally licensed to and usable by PGI. And if HG wants to throw down, Russ seems willing to rumble.

Releasing mechs UrbanPack-style will curb the complaints about locking the best mechs in the most expensive tier and shafting everyone who buys Ala Carte.

The difference between these upcoming unseens and the general mech packs is that I'm sure PGI knows each mech will sell well individually unlike the uncertainty of which of your 4 random mechs for the latest pack will be a hit.

Even though our playerbase is small and we're all idiots, myself excepted of course, you have our full support should there ever be problems PGI.

Unless it comes to money, then I might have to renegotiate a few terms.

“Sergeant!” A soldier tugged at his sleeve, pointing across the rubble barricade. “Something's coming out of the service area!”

He twisted around to see, and fought the panic that rose gibbering at the back of his throat. Lumbering from the dark cavern of the repair facility it was a Marauder, 75 tons of deadly fighting steel.

“God,” he said. “They've been holding back in there, waiting for us! That monster is going to trap our ‘Mechs as they come up out of the tunnel!” - Mercenary's Star

Perhaps Sarna says it best..."The Marauder BattleMech is arguably the most iconic early BattleMech image featured in BattleTech"

Even more funny, is the Marauder uses the meta build of PPC+AC5.
